Just wondering if anyone else has noticed a link with teething and say a cold anr/or chest infection?

Poor Ava has been actively teething since about 4-5mths, her cheeks turn purple/bright red, she drools, pulls at her ears etc etc.
She FINALLY got a tooth last month and right before it broke she got a chest infection, poor girl was sooky all day (gel, and brauers really helped and panadol at night) but then of a night was waking up with coughing fits and not being able to breath properly due to a gross nose.

Well it seems tooth #2 might not be far off as my sooky girl is back during the day with a major runny nose and the other night had me up for an hour and a half from 3am trying to get her back to sleep.
Upright cuddles are wonderful but not for that long when she is sniffling the whole time, any tips?

I give her brauers and now baby nurofen (apparently better than panadol for teething as it's an anti-inflamatory) before bed with her ora-sed gel to combat the teething and have a vaporiser in her room, the top of her cot is up on phone books and i put baby balsam on her chest and feet.
Is there anything else i can try, #2 is on the way and the lack of sleep is starting to take it's toll.
