    Teething Q

In what 'normal' order do teeth come through?

DS has his two bottom teeth, and he's just had his 3rd tooth broke through... And it's the one right next to the top left hand side tooth.
Is that normal? Again, I know every baby is different, but I always thought the two front ones were supposed to be through first.

If they come 'out of order as such' it is called Cross Teething and is quite common, i tried to google for you but mainly got links to forums.
However this is some information i found as a ROUGH GUIDE:

    * Four central incisors between 6 and 8 months.
    * Four lateral incisors between 6 and 12 months.
    * Four first premolars between 10 and 18 months.
    * Four canines between six and 24 months.
    * Four second premolars between 20 and 30 months.

Ava has pretty much followed the actual 'order' of teeth but never was within the time line she teethed from 5mths but didn't get her 1st one until she was 10mths old.

Hope someone else has a little more of an answer for you hun.

My DS1 teethed in the same order as your DS LJ . He got the top two teeth on either side of where his top middle teeth should have been first. They looked a bit like fangs LOL! The middle ones came not long after though.

DD still only has her bottom two teeth, William is overtaking her!

    Us too

Like ZF said, it's cross-teething.... and yeah it is 'out of order' but it's really common too, a couple of my kids teethed like that.
