    Electric Blankets and Co-sleeping

We co-sleep with DS who is almost 8 months. Currently we are getting by with just a duvet on the bed but winter is fast approaching and we will need more very soon. I would like to have an electric blanket rather than having more layers on top but am not sure if that is o.k with a bub in the bed?

That would be a no. Any literature I have read on co-sleeping does not recommend the use of electric blankets. Are you able to heat the room and/or get a good underlay to help with warmth?

I thought as much, was just hoping....

Not sure what to do because it is very cold already (below 0 overnight). I guess we will just have to keep the room as warm as we can.

Can you use your electric blanket to pre-heat the bed? Suppose that still leaves you with the chilly at 4am issues though...

Oh! I have seen somewhere...electric blankets that warm your feet! Not sure if they're just for feet, or if they're electric blankets that have a feet setting. That might be okay, right? Because bub sleeps up the top near your heads, so there's no issue of overheating bub then...

All the best with figuring something out, it's getting COLD these nights isn't it!!
