I can't help with the legs because DD is the same, however I agree with kellz that she might be ready to drop one of the day naps? My DD did at around five months, now she has a morning nap at about 9am or 10am, and an afternoon one at about 2pm, night time (all going well) is 7pm - 7am.

I found this age tough because they seem to have more energy but can't burn it because they're not crawling yet. Maybe a jolly jumper would help wear her out, it will probably encourage the jimmy legs more though!

That might be the trick. Some days she does have only 2 sleeps and others she has 3. Today, with the time she woke up (7:15), she will only get 2 sleeps. Plus I think she is able to stay up just a little bit longer too.

    Thanks ladies for your help

    Hi

I just wanted to throw in that this is really normal- babies often feel a complusion to do the new things they've learned recently either in their sleep (which can wake them) or before they go to sleep (keeps them awake).

In my experience, not much could be done about it but to stick it out. My ds did it with crawling, sitting, standing (and will no doubt do it with walking too). I even walked in a few times to find him standing up in his cot, fast alseep.

Anyway, hang in there. Not much help but it does make it easier if we know why they are behaving the way they do.
