I can't really help, just wanted to say good luck & no it isn't bad of you. Our DS has been in his own room since 6weeks as we had him in SA where we stayed for 6wks & borrowed a bassinett, when we came home it was just a cot (couldn't afford bassinett too) so he's been in that in his own room since then. Trust me, you will still hear every little peep through the monitor too.
