I can really empathise with you... when we brought Aidyn home as a newborn I found it impossible to sleep in the same room as him - because every time he so much as snuffled or grunted, I would be awake... and in fact I could never relax enough to get to sleep at all most times.
This changed after a couple of weeks though... I started bringing him to bed with me, and for some reason I was much more comfortable and able to handle his noises when he was so close... I think it was the reassurance of having him right with me that I knew I would know if anything were to happen, and I didn't have to be on the edge all the time anymore.

Having said that hon... there is absolutely nothing wrong with putting Ashley in her own room if that is what works for you. You have a monitor, so will be able to hear her fine if she wakes... so maybe just try it out for a few nights and see how you both go??

Goodluck sweets...
