I wasnt going to make any of this public yet, but I am going outta my mind here. DH & I have been trying for another baby and this month after ovulation I had cramping like with my other pregnancies, and I was extremely tired, I also had a couple of days of nausea. I did a test last Sat & I could see an incredibly faint positive, but over the next few days I did two further tests that showed very clear negatives. I dont feel pregnant anymore either. Yet the fact that my period is so late, when I am always regular, is a bit strange. Has anyone experienced this? I really dont know what to think, we are trying not to get our hopes up yet. However I am off the Dr this arvo to see what she has to say, but just trying to find out some info before I go. Thanks in advance.
Madsmum did you use the same type HPT as the first one? Maybe they are not as sensitive as the first one you did. I'd go to the Dr too and have a blood test to see what your HCG is if its detecting above 5. Hope there is an easy explanation for it and your UTD.
No I did use two different tests, the first one was crystal clear and the second two were clear blue. I was of the impression that crystal clear arent always accurate while CB is a better brand and more trustworthy. Its odd to say the least!!! If I am I would be almost 6 wks so would have thought it would show by now.
Yes this happened to me, I got a +ve HPT before AF was due, then over the next couple of days whe I retested the line was more faint, then dissapeared. I got AF about 3 days late. I guess it wsa achem PG.

Im sorry to here the pos, then neg's. Its awful. It sounds like a chemical pregnancy to me, They are alot more common than we realize. Mine happened at about 5.5 wks. I first tested 4 days over and had a pos, then 2 days later, pos was there but fainter, then had blood work done which showed hcg declining. Then heavy bleeding started about 4-5 days after seeing doc..awful, clotting, aches etc.
I hope this is not the case for you though, but sounds similar. Pray it was just a dodgy test and your doc can tell you whats going on.

Yep I think its an early miscarriage. I got a negative urine test at the Dr's and she sent me for a blood test yesterday & I will have another on Friday. Pretty dissapointing but thats ok. I'm just a bit worried about another ectopic, as I have been having a little unusual niggle on my 'good side' & I have read that sometimes they dont show a positive pregnancy test, so you could have it and not know until it explodes. But the blood tests will reveal this if thats the case. Still waiting for my period, my god its going to arrive with a vengence this time around
Im so sorry to hear, I hope for your health and safety that its not an eptopic pregnancy too.
Every miscarriage is simply devastating, a real sense of emptiness and what could have been stays with you forever. Let yourself grieve however you feel necessary.

MadsMum I was in a similar position this cycle (my af was late but no ++HPT) I too worried it was another ectopic as as you said its possible for this to happen and not get a +HPT. You are right to be concerned and your've done the right thing going to the Drs you can never be too careful when you have been through what you have been through and the risk of this happening is slightly higher then the general population. The BT should show you the HCG level. If its below 5 I would say its safe to say your risk of another ectopic at the moment would be basically nothing so that will be reassuring at least. Some of the other girls have mentioned chemical pregnancy which sounds very likely. Usually when this happens your AF (if you can call it that) arrives within a week or two. I hope you get some answers soon. Thinking of you.
