    Hi JordieC,

I totally understand how you are feeling. I had two losses b4 going ft with my dd. Every day was a struggle. I think the OBS saw how scared I was of mc again, so he had me on fortnightly visits until 12 weeks, then I went on monthly. Not sure if you are engaging the services of an OBS, but if you are is that something you can speak to him/her about doing?
I wasn't excited and we didn't tell anyone until I was 12 weeks pg. Something that should be a joyous occassion, I was feeling anxious, scared etc... I think until I heard my dd cry when she was born I felt ok.......
In relation to you q: yes, I had neg, then very feint pos, then eventually pos. I think I ovulate late in my cycle, so if I test 1 week after af is due, i usually get a neg test.

I know exactly where you are at. After a couple of m/c's i don't allow myself to get excited or be happy about a BFP. I guess it is a bit of a defense mechanism, if you're not excited you wont be as dissapointed. Probably a rediculose mind game we play with ourselves, but i think it is totally normal. I'd like to think so anyway!
I became a serial tester after my m/c's and for this preg i had a BFN and then two days later had a strong BFP. So fingers crossed this little one is here to stay. Best of luck.

Your excitement wont start until you get past 8 weeks at least. It might even take til you get past the first tri. For me I started to get excited when I got past the week that my losses kept happening at and increased even more when I got past the first tri and kept increasing the further I got along.

it takes time to adjust. take it slowly. dont feel guilty for your feelings, just accept them for what they are.

not sure if your into statistics... but i find some encouragement knowing the odds of things that might affect me....

anyway, i just read yesterday that only 1% of women suffer recurrent miscarriage, that is 3 or more in a row. So the odds are in your favour honey. GL. hugs
