Clomid - how many cycles til you got a BFP?

Hi,


This is my first cycle on clomid and I'm in the middle of my TWW . I'm really, really, really hoping it works this month, but then, I thought 10 cycles ago when we first started TTC that I'd be a mummy by Christmas. It's just so depressing getting those and then having AF arrive.

Is the anyone out there who can tell me their clomid stories? Did it work for you? Did it take many months? Am I being overly optimistic hoping it will have worked this cycle?

Clomid worked on the 5th cycle for us. I remember 5 being a bit of a magic number around here.

Clomid works wonders for some people and others it doesn't work at all. Hang in there

3 cycles 50mgs missed m/c @ 7 weeks
too 2 cycle break while had HSG
3 cycles 50mgs m/c @ 10 weeks
1 cycle off 2 cycles 50mgs healthy perfect beautiful little boy
tried for 9 cycles no luck 3cycles 50mgs 2 cycles 100mgs m/c @ 7 weeks

since last m/c we had 1 cycle off and have done 6 @ 100mgs no luck though doign a natural cycle this month...so who knows miracles do happen

Hi Bonnie

It took us 3 clomid cycles to fall with this little one. I found it best taken at night too as the side effects usually take place while you are sleeping.

Well, BFN for us this month.

But now I know roughly when O will be, we can plan a little better and hopefully this next cycle will give us our BFP! Fingers Crossed.

Quick background:
At 22 years I was diagnosed with POS and was advised to start on clomid if I wanted to have children.

DD's BFP was after my first cycle on clomid.
Miscarriage- BFP after 2 cycles of clomid.
DS1's BFP was after 12cycles, 8 on highest dose, (I wasn't ovulating on any of the 11 earlier does)
Miscarriage- BFP while on metoformin, no fertility drugs used.
DS2's BFP was natural after I used provera to bring on a period.
