    Unhappy CM questions

Hey I've got a question about CM. I know over the course of your cycle your CM changes consistancy, indicating whether or not your ovulating. But I don't think I've noticed any changes at all. AF begin on the 18th of this month, and its day 14 (my normal cycle is around 29-30 days) - and for the last week or so I haven't noticed any change in my CM. Maybe a little more of it in the last few days, and a touch more slippery. I know I've only just come off the pill (on the 15th) - but to tell you the truth, last time I was off the pill, I never noticed any change in my CM.

What I'm asking is, is that does your CM noticably change always when you're ovulating, or do some woman have more subtle changes than others - or am I not ovulating yet? I wanted to wait for my first cycle to run its course (and see what happens babywise) before I go crazy and by thermometers and ovulation testers. Is it worth my getting an ovulations tester to see whats going on down there lol

My CM does noticably change, however it did take me a cycle to really notice the changes and what they meant. Throughout my cycle my CM is white and creamy or tacky (tacky like blu tack, kind of dry if you know what I mean) where as when I am ovulating it goes more clear and slippery/wet.

I did try ovulation predictor tests however they did not work for me.
I do chart though and at ovulation I do record a noticable shift in temperature.

I only use a basic thermometer with only 1 decimal point and it works really well for me (teamed with the fertility friend website), you can get them for under $10-.

This is a great thread to for learning about your CM (it is very graphic though)

    Good luck.

I think sometimes it is a bit tricky taking close notice of CM - so I used to check cervix position at the same time to find O time.

    there you go! a change.

I've noticed that not all my cycles are the same. some i have really strong slippery 'egg-white' CM, and others are more watery, which i would describe as just 'more' of the previous CM. And every woman is different, so comparing to someone else may not help. it's about the changes you notice & experience.

I can't say how things will change after coming off the pill. I wasn't on the pill when i learnt about CM. But i imagine it may take a cycle or two to get used to all the new signs. If it were me, I would relax a little, and not bother with the Ov kits just yet. give your mind & body time to adjust from being on the pill.

    happy charting.

    Thanks for the help!

Entreat - part of me is wondering if this "change" is all in my head and I'm just hoping I ovulated tee hee! Although, I have to say I've gotten a little obssessive about my CM, which on some level is a little gross

sneakysparkle - how do you check your cervial position?
