    Question Confused and perplexed...

Hello, this is my first time posting on here. I am 38 and have 2 children already. We had an accident the other night where DH didn't realise the condom had slipped off and he had finished. So I know some went in (TMI sorry).

I am not great with my dates. I think I started my period around the 22nd January and only had one heavy day, the rest I could just use a pad. This has been happening for a few months. My cycles have also been varying a little in length, going to the shorter side of 28 days..... We dtd on about CD7 and on CD9 and 10 I had EWCM that then went away, totally dry since (which is also unusual, I usually have some discharge all month, so that I've needed a pad to keep fresh).

On this Saturday CD14 I started getting crampy and I thought maybe that was OV but it hasn't stopped today is CD17. It's sort of like mild AF cramps and a heavy feeling low in my abdomen and in my lower back. Yesterday I started feeling nauseous and actually dry retched a few times in the day. Appetite gone. Have constant nausea today. Noone else has a bug in the family. I have been getting headaches too.

I don't think I'm due til about the 19th and if I OV on CD10/11 I would be 7/8DPO. Surely this is way too early to get any symptoms? I am not ttc and would be happy either way, I'd just forgotten how frustrating the 2ww is! With my last pregnancy, I had a feeling and was right 1st cycle and I have that feeling again.

I am open to all opinions - even if it is 'stop being a silly woman and get on with your life!' Has anyone else had similar symptoms and been pregnant? I am also rather bloated and gassy both ends which also makes me wonder if the crampy feeling (although just like AF) is just gas?!!!! Arrrggggghhhh as you can tell I'm driving myself potty! Even my DH mentions it at least 5 times a day!! I keep telling him we have to wait until at least a couple of days before AF due......if she doesn't come before....

Sorry for my ramble and thanks for any comments

Hmmm, my first thought was to tell you to poas. But it may be too early. Personally, I'd "have" to poas - just because I couldn't help myself

When AF has visited me during the past year it did vary a bit in length and heaviness, but was still mainly consistent on the whole. However I know other ladies our age on BB have noticed a change in their periods as they approach 40-ish. So that could explain your lighter than normal AF.

Then again, I thought I'd got AF when I was actually pg with this bub. Turned out my progesterone levels were playing up and causing light bleeding, but I had about 5 days where I thought I had AF until I twigged something wasn't quite right (body temp consistently high and my light AF just wasn't normal). And tested I got a BFP.

Sorry I don't have any wise words ... not sure if you're hopiing for a BFP or not, but hope you get your answer soon!

    Thanks for your reply!

I know, I think my periods are changing due to age which doesn't help matters either!

Now to confess......I did POAS yesterday but that's really early!! BFN as expected.......Had to do something. Now I'll just have to wait til next week I think. Didn't want people to think I was TOO crazy in my first post!!

As it is, I only have a crystal clear test and I've read that they are less reliable so next week I will be buying a FR too!!!

The nausea is getting worse. And I have an upset tummy downwards too. No temperature so not gastro but I wish it would go away! Maybe I've just worked myself into it!! Bit worrying if so, feel a bit bonkers! About 8DPO today. Going to hold out until Friday to do a FR POAS. I got a very faint positive at 10DPO with my son.

Thanks. Am busy today and tomorrow so that helps. I have decided to wait til Sunday morning to test. Then wait and see if AF shows up anywhere up to the next weekend. Will teach me not to pay attention to my cycles!

Hope you get a BFP, will look out for you too.
    Tgo x

Oh and I just noticed we both had our 1st two in the same years!
