Fertile? Ovulation? Whatsit?

. . . So me and DP decided that we would wait before trying for another baby but uhm, I think we may have accidentally forgotten about that arrangement last when we DTD - twice I calculated my ovulation date on an internet calculator (LMP was 15th Feb 09 with an average cycle length of 30 days) and according to that, I am due to ovulate on the 3rd so I'm fertile sometime between the 1st to the 6th. Does that mean I could fall pregnant this cycle? DP is working 6 days now so I won't be DTD with him until this time next week.

I dunno hun, its hard to answer....it depends how long the little swimmers hang around for, what 'your environment' is like, if conditions are right etc. Just for the record, i was due to Ovulate on the thursday, we DTD on the Sunday (am) before and guess what.....im in my 3rd trimester of my 4th pregnancy.....so it can happen. Ive heard up to 7 days the swimmers can hang around.....

LOL thanks for that. Both outcomes have their benefits and drawbacks - we both want another baby but we were thinking in maybe 12 months! Can't say i'd be unhappy with a BFP though
