I had a large fibroid removed about 3 years prior to conceiving my baby (IVF). Mine was subserosal,a nd unlkiekly to affect a pregnancy, but was lying on my bladder and was very uncomfortable.
The fibroids that are pressing into the lining of the uterus are more likely to cause m/c I believe, as they disrupt the ability of the embryo to implant (read this in a book last night...assume it to be true). Large inner fibroids I think can also affect the blood supply to the placenta.
So although mine was very big, it was not a factor in my issues. I currently have another one (smaller), and I am waiting to hear whether this one is liekly to affect my chances of success with my frozen embryos.
