    Hi,

If you go back to the start of this thread you will find a link for the previous thread - should be some info in there. I am sure Tanya will pop in and help you out.

Your PH levels are what you need to keep an eye on in regards to Acidic (for a girl) and Alkaline (for a boy). eg: I am naturally more alkaline so in order to try for a girl i need to get my PH levels down to more acidic. This is where the diet and tablets come in. Tanya seems to be naturally more acidic so she is trying the boy diet to make her more alkaline. Does that make sense?

You can buy PH test strips off Ebay or probably from chemists - I got mine off Ebay but have found them confusing. I am sure there are some simpler ones out there. You just test your urine and the strip tells you where your levels are.
    Good luck !

    Hey Mel,
I think I posted a fair bit of info on the diet in the gender swaying info thread... You can get loads of info on the diet from the internet. There is a site where a woman has devised a cook book for gender swaying PM me if you would like a link. Be mindful that the pill will make you acidic so you will need to work hard on getting your pH up.
Studies have shown that pH can play a big role in determining which sperm fertilises the egg, low pH will favour X sperm and high pH can favour Y sperm... usually the more fertile you are the higher your pH will be (although last cycle I didn't budge from 4.5 with is very acidic!). You will find if you follow the boy diet your pH will increase. The diet will also help increase/decrease hormones that are known to sway toward one gender or the other. You will need to be on the diet for AT LEAST 6 weeks prior to ttc

    Hi Tanya !

I am going to test tomorrow or Sunday - still need to buy tests. I figured i wouldnt buy any till i need them otherwise i start testing too early and waste them

I am still lacking confidence - so if i get a BFP this time round i will be very surprised.
It has been a very long week. I am due to get AF on Wednesday so i should know by then at the latest i guess.

BUT i want to know NOW !
Good luck with testing - i guess we could be POAS at the same time !

gender swaying when you BF and AF has not returned yet, any advise?
We would love a girl next time, and its likely we wont ttc again after a third, so really trying to get my head round all this stuff I need to learn for a ttc DD.

I guess the best we can do for now is I can make changes to my diet to try increase calcium and mag. Cut salt and sugar.I might buy some ph strips too...
    any other suggestions?

We are not ttc again yet but we are not taking precautions either.

    No luck here yet,

Went to the chemist to buy tests and ran into a friend !! So i bought some multi vitamins for my boys and left. Didnt want anyone to see me buying tests.

I found a test in my knicker drawer today. One that i had left over from last time. Just a little cheap one that i got off the net. Knowing full well that it wasnt an early test, i did it just before lunch anyway. BFN !!
Didnt surprise me but i couldnt help myself.

Now im not sure if i should bother going out to buy some yet (in fear of waisting them) or just leave it and see if AF shows up !
I bet it gets the better of me - but i dont really want to keep seeing BFN's either.
I know that i am quite prepared for AF to show up Wednesday/Thursday. Thats just crazy - i know !

Sorry, you got a BFN too ! LOL at 7dpo - its so hard to resist testing. I am a serial POAS type lady
I am trying so hard to not get in the car and go to the chemist - will let you know if i do.
    Fingers Crossed !

    Good Morning Tanya,

Ok, last night i caved - i went to the chemist on my way to hire DH a DVD.
    Just got the one test.

Have POAS and got the very much expected BFN ! 11dpo. I must say its a little dissappointing. Oh well.
So now i am 99.9% sure i am not pg.

    Here we go again !

Good luck with getting a BFP - let me know how you go.

ETA - I guess the .1% chance that i may actually be pg comes from the fact that i still have roughly 3 days till AF is due, i have slight cramping (or am i imagining it) and a slight increase in CM. These last two things pushed me over the edge to buy a HPT. Only a few days to go......thank goodness !

Don't give up just yet, I know it's hard @ 11DPO, but there is still a chance!!

I am feeling a bit yuck... I tested again and it was a BFN... I have no doubt I will test again tomorrow... LOL... It is filling my mind! Anyway... Won't be long now and we will both know either way

Ok I'm tentivly (sp?) putting my nose back in here as DH and I are maybe thinking about having another one and trying again, but nothing is set in concrete and I'm a little nervous as last time I tried swaying my body O'd early and we had little Julian. Sooo back on the rollercoaster.....just have to wait for AF to return after having Julian as well.

Ok enough about me, nice to be back .

Tanya we tried timing but I think I O'd a day or two early and we ended up DTD the night before I O'd, we also did supplements, me on calcium and magnesium tablets and both of us on cranberry tablets to try and make us more acidic, and I very loosely did the diet. How are you going?

Thanks for the welcome CB hopefully your time will come soon .

Oh another question where abouts is all the info now, thanks.

Sorry about the BFN - still hoping you get a BFP - bit of time yet Good luck !

I dont feel anything ! Not feeling pregnant in the slightest. Last time it was so obvious by now.
Extremely sure AF will turn up in the next day or two.

I cant stop thinking about something i read a while ago - that quite a few people havent been able to fall pregnant after having a D&C. I am freaking out about this.
I know its only our first month of trying again (no offence to anyone that has trouble)
Its just that i cant stop that thought creeping in
Sorry - had my vent now !
