Thanks BG. The doc (my fs) said the same thing (could have saved $80 LOL) and I will have another BT on Friday and another on Monday and call for the results on Tues. He said I have no reason to expect a mc, although it does happen to many women...which was reassuring. I have decided just to embrace and enjoy it! I already feel connected to this tiny embryo so am going to stress less and relaxx more!
On the pg symptoms...feeling really tired and a bit light headed (my bp was 100/50 and it was 90/70 last time-have NFI what these numbers mean LOL) My bbs aren't sore to touch but feel sore from inside and a few sharp feelings! AND and extremely dry mouth which is driving me crazy!

Just wanted to say I'm having similar symptoms. ie, BB's don't hurt, low BP (104/70) and such a dry dry mouth!!! My GP told me to drink more water and have enough salt in my diet to fix the BP. Normal BP is 120/80 (the first number tells you how hard the heart is squeezing the blood to the rest of your body. If this number is low, then your body cells are not getting enough blood supply therefore could be short on oxygen & nutrients/ the second number is the pressure in the heart valve as your blood returns back to the heart).
BP can be low if you are dehydrated. So keep your fluids up. I wouldn't worry too much as low BP is normal is early pregnancy it's high BP that you want to avoid. It just makes you more likely to 'faint' if dehydrated for long/tired. The dry mouth could be an indication of dehydration. I try to drink a glass of water every hour. It's so hard to remember at work and i find it works if I make a point of drinking as the hour changes ie.8am,9am,10am..etc. Makes you run to the loo more though i think this practise will help me hide my ms sysmptoms when they start and I have to run to the loo at work! Excellent excuse Have a H&H pregnancy.
another thing to help hydrate you is to drink things like powerade, gatorade - your body doesn't always take up water all that well...
i can't stand the flavour of those sorts of drinks, so really weak cordial, or diluted fruit juice are also good for hydrating you.
i've found my best friend lately for countering dehydration has been fruit juice icy poles. berri quelch tube icy poles are 99% fruit juice and taste pretty good. and when MS does hit, they give you a sugar hit to stop the nausea a little while you get something more substantial into you... i can sorta get just over two hours without food, then i'm in trouble - but if i have to go longer, i hit that two hour point and have myself an icypole and i get an extra half hour or so....
mine hit at ovulation Belle - but i was on an AC cycle and had HCG shot to force ovulation. was queasy for about a month, then at 6 weeks i fell in a heap. haven't had more than a day here and there since then where i've not felt pretty full on queasies. i'm like you in that i have a severe upchuck phobia, so it's been an interesting 6 weeks since it got bad! all i can suggest is eat regularly (even if not hungry) - i have yogurt at 7am, eggs at around 9am, lunch from 11-2 (usually grazing over that time) snack about 4, dinner at 6-7pm. sleep heaps. talk to your doctor about "natural" help - travel bands (sea bands) are good, ginger is good, have just started vitamin b6. it's not fun, but when it gets bad i keep thinking of the end result (it's the only thing that stops me falling apart)
keep up the fluids - the more dehydrated you get the worse you feel - water on it's own sometimes doesn't sit well, or you don't absorb it (hence the last post). try ginger beer, ginger cordial, dry ginger ale. the more tired you are, the worse you feel - dont be afraid to say to DH sorry, i need a nana nap. try not to get too hot (i almost fainted last night - thankfully DH was home).
so far i think that's all i've changed! there are drugs you can take (maxalon etc) - but if you can avoid them it helps. the antenatal GP i spoke to on monday said it generally only works a few times anyway. she has recommended some other stuff (which i have here) but it has a sedative effect, so i'm not prepared to start it until i know i have a few days with nothing on - and the days leading up to it will have to be pretty damn bad for me to sedate myself permanently - most of the time i live at home alone so sedating myself is a scary prospect - if DH is home, at least he'll make sure i eat and stuff. i think not eating would be more detrimental to me!
if you ARE being sick (or not drinking etc) you run a risk of dehydration - bad for bubs, bad for you - and you may end up in hospital on the drip. definitely make sure you keep as hydrated as possible!
Thanks for the tips, BG. I am trying to keep this pregnancy as drug-free as possible I've been exhausted but trying to stay awake. I think I will take your advise and rest more. to you. Although my MS hasn't hit yet, I know it must truly suck
