Tonydayl- no i didn't use FMU, i know you're usually supposed to. it was driving me mad and i couldn't be bothered waiting once i'd bought the HPTs so i just did one. This particular test said if you're late for AF you can test any time of the day as long as you haven't had excessive liquids... mind you i had about 3 glasses of apple juice this morning because i was craving it like crazy! hehe. suppose i can add cravings and excessive thirst to my ever increasing list of "pregnancy symptoms"!
i did buy two tests (they came in packs of 1, they used to come in packs of 2- i wanted 4 so i had plenty, but turns out i've just got the 2. can always go buy more if need be) so i'm going to try again tomorrow morning with FMU.

principessa76- It's definitely possible that i O'd late as i don't temp or anything. since we're not actively TTC, i basically just guess that it's O time when EWCM starts showing up, since it USUALLY only shows up then.. apart from having it now as a "symptom" of course! (i'm going to be kicking myself if i actually am pregnant and i've been making fun of real symptoms! )

Nessa, Snacks and Renstar- thanks for all your replies, it helps so much to be able to talk about it all! at the moment i don't want to tell anybody until i'm certain either way- gossip spreads like wild-fire around my family and friends, so i'm keeping my mouth shut for now.
