I am TTC and have PCOS. I was diagnosed 13 years ago and have had it for about 20 years, so if you have any questions just fire away!!
The odd skipped cycle does not necessarily mean PCOS. You could have been a bit stressed. It is not that unusual. Most women have an odd or an anovulatory cycle some time. You need other symptoms to have PCOS. Some women (about 25%) have PCO, which is not PCOS, and does not necessarily mean there is a problem, it is just part of being on the scale of "normal". A u/s is not enough for a diagnoses of PCOS.
I had an OB who said that PCOS is way over diagnosed and credited with far to many fertility problems. It affects women so differently!!
Me, I have so far not had a problem concieving naturally and have fingers crossed for pregnancy #3 turning up soon.
