I you would love for that scan to show up a healthy little bubba in there, but there could be other reasons for what you are feeling as well I just don't want you to get your hopes up and then have them crushed
Nothing. Although they were kind enough to tell me I may have PCOS and will need to get it confirmed with hormone testing. Not much of a surprise, considering I was diagnosed 8 years ago.
You know what I find strange? I've told 2 specialists about that lump thing, and neither of them has attempted to feel it. I would've thought that'd be the first thing they'd do?
Keike, that is a real worry that they are dismissing what you are saying about that and not looking into it further. Do you think maybe going to a completely new Dr and asking them about it might help?
I truly wish it had of been what you were hoping for though
Sorry to read they didn't find anything. Did they not see the lump at all? It worries me that you've got a lump that's causing you pain but they can't see it.
Can you see another Dr? If this lump is worrying you, you need to listen to your instincts and find someone who will take you seriously, even if just for your own peace of mind it must be stressful not knowing what it is.
I don't know Trillian, I don't seem to have much luck with doctors. I seriously think I'm put in the 'too hard' basket...actually, it's probably the 'too fat' basket. Just writing a scathing blog post now about that whole issue, to avoid ringing ACA or TT. I'd love to hire a young skinny actress to go to the doc with my symptoms, and see how she was treated
Nope Tash, nothing. They mentioned that the cysts on the right ovary are rather large, but that's it.
Pretty jaded right about now. Well, swinging from being galactically angry to deciding that this is the end of our fertility journey, time to pick another. I didn't really expect there to be a baby, I just wanted something to be bad enough that they'd follow it up. I just KNOW there's something wrong, and they're not seeing it on scans. But with the scans not showing anything, they won't go further until I'm BMI 35. And then I'd hafta wait another 12 months to prove that my infertility is not weight related. So we're looking 2 years minimum, by which time we'd have been trying for almost 7 years. I just don't understand when doctors were given permission to deny treatment
The lump may not be visible on a pelvic scan, and that's all they did. I mentioned it to them, because I thought they'd at least run the ultrasound over the area y'know? But nothing.
