If you listen to what we are 'taught' in IVF 101 at 4dpo the embryo has not become a blastocyst yet. It will not implant and start creating HCG until 7dpo at the earliest. Usually not enough HCG will be produced to register a positive until 8-9dpo (although this is still early). So, technically, your body doesn't 'know' it's pregnant yet because, technically, it's not. Even if fertilization has occurred. That said, post ovulation your hormone levels (estrogen and progesterone) will rise causing side effects. If you are pregnant they will continue to rise and cause symptoms.

    Good luck!

I started getting period-like cramps at around 7 DPO, which got increasingly bad every day. I also had a touch of nausea with the cramps, but when I ate, all went away. Tender boobs started 2 days before BFP

Oh and some weird fluttering sensations since ovulating!

I assume it's hormones of some sort. I know within hours. Turning into a cranky biatch and having nasty heartburn for a couple of days after are a bit if a give away. Then it fades & I doubt myself, but turns out I was right.

It doesnt really make a difference though except for speculation and feeding POAS addiction you're either pregnant or you're not.

GL. Update when you start POASing so we can speculate with you

That's so strange Lions&Bears, I've always been skeptical of people who say that, I mean I guess you can't *know* for sure, but I suppose if you are really in tune with your body you do notice these things. I can't say I knew, though I felt 'funny', and in retrospect it is quite clear!
