    Implantation bleed questions

For those who have experienced an implantation bleed, can it be as heavy as a normal (quite heavy) period? And did you get cramping too?

This is only my first month TTC, so I'm very new to this. I think I O'd on CD35 (very long cycles). It was my third cycle off the pill, but the first cycle TTC and first of taking BBT, so I'm not sure if or when I O'd in the previous 2 cycles. Last 2 cycles were both 50 days.

I was not expecting to get AF until Wed this week (CD 50) at least. Anyway, we got a bit excited and did a test on Fri at 11DPO - BFN. Later that day AF came, with cramps, 5 days early. I had had some spotting for a couple of days before, but I get that quite a bit so it wasn't unusual.

But, even though I have AF, I still just 'have this feeling' that I might be preg. I know I O'd as I had an ultrasound. And we BD at all the right times. So, it's probably just wishful thinking, but I'm wondering whether this could be an implantation bleed masquerading as AF. It's now been here for 4 days.

Reading this back, it really sounds like I'm being silly - there's not really anything to indicate that I am preg, but lots of things to indicate that I'm not. Wishful thinking, what can I say?!

I'm thinking I might test again on Fri just in case - this would be 18DPO.

I'm new here, with an implantation question

    Hi!
I'm on Day 24 at the moment, on Day 20 (evening) and morning of Day 21, I had a small bloody/browny discharge which seemed to me to be an implantation bleed. I had the exact same thing with previous pregnancy.
But I'm not sure if it was too early for one.
This is our 11th month ttc #2.
The thing we did differently this month, was to start our bd'ing on day 6 and go every second day.
I always, without fail get a + opk on either day 14 or 15, so in the past, we've only started bd'ing on day 10 or even day 12.
Of course, this month I was out of OPK's, so only did one, on Day 14, which came up instantly as a very positive.
If you think I sound like I'm clutching at straws, you are very right But I'm hoping some of you on here can either confirm my hopes or settle me down.
The last 11 months have been so hard and at many times, I've been so upset with the constant BFN. Each month I've been waiting to see if I had an implantation bleed, which is the only thing I seem to recall from my last one as a "sign" as back then, we were just trying for a baby, it wasn't as technical as this time, iykwim.
    Anyway, thanks in advance.
Good luck to everyone else. August was my month 3 years ago, lets hope it's lots of others (and mine) again this year

I hope it was an implantation bleed. I've never had one though with any of my pregnancies.

I've never had an implantation bleed either, but it sounds like you have a history of it so good luck! You were about 5 or 6 dpo when you had the bleed weren't you? which is around the timeframe it could happen.

Good luck & let us know how you go.

I had one with my last pregnancy on 7dpo so I'd say not too early at all. I think between 6-8dpo is about the time to get them.
    Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I really hope it is. I stupidly tested yesterday because a friend of mine also had a bleed around the same time as me and got a BFP already. Mine came up BFN, so I spent all day crying. Silly silly me. It's way too early to test but I feel so low now.

^ Aw don't be upset, I did the exact same thing - tested the day after I had the bleed. It was too early of course (when you think about it, an implantation bleed happens when implantation is happening - and you can't get a bfp until that process is complete and HCG production begins). I got a faint bfp about 4 days after the bleed - so wait a bit longer, it was just too early you're not out of the game by any stretch

Well, still no BFP for me. A friend of mine had the EXACT same thing this month and got a BFP by 12dpo.
Due tomorrow and feel like it's coming : (

    Is this implantation spotting?

    Hi gals,

    ***TMI Warning!***

If things are going well I should be implanting around now. I just went to the loo and there was a brown blob - like EWCM, very stretchy but also retained its blobby shape if I tried to stretch it on the toilet paper. The brown colour was like the end of a period.

Is this implantation spotting? Or is this something going wrong? What is implantation spotting like in your experience?

Mine (again TMI!) was a brown spot on my knickers - what really gave it away was nothing, nada, zilch all happened again that day.

    Oh yes!
    Right on time : (
    I was gutted. Completely.
This was the one sign I'd been waiting for since it was all I could really recall from my pregancy with my DD.
Oh well, it's a new month.
We're going to see a FS next month.
Thanks for all your help and advice.
I look forward to reading some positive stories on here.

Claire, same for me - it was isolated.

Feeling like I'm going to have good news on testing day...

I had inplantation spotting and cramping at 7-8 dpo, i honestly thought af was coming super early, i spotted brown/light red for 2 days, had a big temp drop also....then 9dpo my temp went back up and at 10dpo i got my bfp! After my temp went back up I knew i was pregnant and wasnt suprised with the bfp at all. very excited tho LOL Cant wait to hear your bfp announcement!
