Thumbs up My ttc story. Just got my BFP!

    Hi girls,

I'm Pregnant!!! Just wanted to share my happy happy news and tell you a bit of my ttc story.

    1) First of all I am 26 and ttc 6 months
    2) I did a home pregnancy test 10DPO which was negative
    3) I did another one 14DPO BFP! and blood test to confirm
    4) I am now 17DPO and have NO pregnancy symptoms whatsoever...yet!
    5) The GP suggested I have hormone tracking done because I still hadn't conceived after 6 months and lots of well timed attempts. This involved blood tests every couple of days and a phone call from the lab on the same day to let me know the results. My cycle averages 34 days. Even on day 18 they said NOTHING was happening. I was still at the follicular level and not in my fertile window. On day 20 I got the call I was ovulating. So there was no gradual build up of LH. It was sudden.
    6) I did OPK tests on days 18-21 which were all negative. If I didn't have the blood tests, I may have thought I was not ovulating at all. BUT this was because my LH was only 12 at its peak and the OPK tests only detect 20+. Your peak LH has to be at least 3 times the base level when you ovulate. My base was only 2 so although 12 was sort of low, it was normal for my body.
    7) We had sex day 13, 15, 18, 20, 21 & 22
    8) This was the first cycle we used Pre-Seed and we used it on day 18 and 21 only

So I hope this gives all of you trying some hope! Goodluck!and may you all be pregnant very very soon.

    Great news Wannabemumma,

Yes, O can sneak up at any time. OPKs have never worked for me either.

I don't have much by way of pregnancy symptoms as well.

    Good Luck.
