PCOS often has irregular or non=existent periods - but not always. it would depend on the severity of the problem. if i were you, i'd go back to your doctor and ask why your wife has been prescribed the meds she is on - there has to be a reason - i doubt they'd put her on metformin without a reason. it's very hard for us to comment about specifics, only in general - and harder still without your partners medical history
