When can ovulation happen ( I'm just curious)?

we're making love every day, so far I'm in thinking that ovulation can happen anytime so I dont want to miss that chance. Are there chances if we make love yesterday and ovulation happens today or tomorrow, will the sperms sustain inside to meet the egg.
