Ok so my last AF was 29/1/11 i have generally 30 day cycles. On Wednesday and Thursday DP and i DTD. Both days were neg OPK. Did not DTD yesterday, and this morning i checked OPK (First morning urine, Opps!) It was Positive, i redid the OPK at 11am to make sure and now Negative. I will try and DTD again tonight, but have i missed the boat by not DTD yesterday We have a DD and desperatly want to give her a little brother or sister

    Hi

Sperm can live up to five days inside a woman's body. Also, the OPK just indicates the LH surge is imminent. Not that it has happened. To me (and I am not an expert) it seems unlikely that two tests so close together could have different results. Perhaps the first morning urine test was a false positive.

If I were you I would just DTD for the next three nights.

    good luck

    Hi there

Its best to not do an OPK with FMU (first morning urine) as you could get a false positive with an OPK because your urine is more concentrated. So that is probably why your 11am one came negative.

Would be best to do another OPK this afternoon, just to be use. When I am using OPKs I do 2 a day - 1 at around 10am and another about 2/3pm so ensure I catch the surge.

Also, if this mornings was your +OPK the general rule is that your egg will be released up to 48hrs after the positive OPK, so I dont think you have missed your chance at all.

    Good luck!

    Agreed.

You're most fertile in the days leading up to ovulation so I think you've timed it pretty well. As the others have said though, maybe BD for another couple of days to cover all bases.

    Good luck!
