Positives ANA test - anyone has more info?

Hi Kristine,

I pretty sure there is some type of treatment for ANA and it can impact on fertility, but I don't know much about it. If you don't get any luck with advice posting here try the Long Term Trying to Conceive forum as you might find some girls with experience with ANA over there.

Have you got a FS? If not, ask your GP for a referral to a FS as they would have a lot more knowledge on ANA and relevant treatments. When the GP first mentioned a referral to MIVF to see an FS for me I kind of freaked out because I thought it meant I would be put on IVF. The FS's however do a lot more than IVF and that's usually after other things are unsuccessful.

Be careful of the lure of google. I'm a catastrophiser from way back and google can feed into it. I did however learn a lot which helped direct my conversations with medical professionals and I'm sure that helped short cut a lot of things.

Thanks Lisa! No I haven't seen a FS yet. Who are you seeing at MIVF?

I saw/am seeing Rachael Knight. I don't think I'm allowed to give her a review on BB. I would PM you my thoughts but I don't think you can get PMs until you've got more than 10 posts. I probably can say she's the only FS I saw and I had no plans to change.
