just mean you have nice strong prog surge which can but isn't always a indication of pg
Hi all, I'm new here. My gyno sent me off for a progesterone bloodtest on Tuesday to see if I was ovulating and it came back as 75. She said a normal range was between 40 and 50 and that I should keep my "fingers crossed" for next week -- my period's due Wednesday. I'd never had one of these tests before, so was a bit flummoxed and probably should have asked more questions, but does this mean I might be pg? I don't know whether to be excited or not??? Could I have just ovulated twice, or ovulated once but let go more than one egg? I'm a bit confused... I didn't ask her all the possibilities of what the reading might mean. Can anyone enlighten me, getting clear answers on the web has been hard.

Cool, thanks for that. Haven't had that test before, so wasn't sure what to make of it.
Hi again, can anyone else give me any more ideas about what this reading can mean? Or has anyone else had this reading or thereabouts, what did it mean for them?
basically it is confirming ovulation, basically your body produces prog after you ovulate helps to create a nice lining in the uterus for a possible pregnancy, its just a wait and see game now, to whether you get AF or not, I have had similiarly high numbers and not been pg but have also had lower ones and got pg, Ithink with Jack I was 89 at 16DPO
Thanks Rach (and happy birthday!). I'm 43, so am a bit nervous about it.

Jmr - came across your question and thought Id post.
When I saw my doctor to get the results of my blood tests for my pregnancy my progesterone level was 83 so dunno what to make of yours but there might be a chance that you are pregnant??
Oh and my BT was done at about 15 or 16 dpo from memory
Good luck![]()
Thanks Sasha, I'm really hoping ... I so want my son, who's almost two, to have a sibling. All the best for your pregnancy too. Cheers!
