Stopped pill and no period, any advice please?

Hi,

I stopped taking Loette on the 9th Jan (almost 5months ago!) I had a normal withdrawel bleed 3 days later. I then went 50 days before I had a period for 4 days. It has now been 88 days since the start of that period and still nothing. For the past 4-5 days I have been feeling very nauseous all day long and had cramps and aching hips and lower back. Is this PMS? If so when will the bleeding start! I was on the pill for 10years and am 28 so don't remember what my periods were like prior to the pill. If you have had a similar experience or have any advice please let me know! Thank you

I'm not sure where, but I read that it can take up to twelve months for your body to readjust after coming off the pill. If your worried, consult your Dr. There may be more behind it, issues that taking the pill helped control. Cramps, back ache and nausea are also common in early pregnancy. Maybe take a HPT too.

I can't speak for the pill but I was on depo for a year and it took 18 months after that for AF to visit. Hope it doesn't take that long for you, did you do a hpt just in case?

Hi guys, thanks for the comments, I did take a HPT today and it was positive! I will take another one tomorrow and have booked to see the doc on Monday so fingers crossed I will see you in the 'pregnant' forum from now! Yah!

Congratulations! I had the same problems - I was on the pill for 10 years, stopped in January, had the withdrawal period, then nothing for three months. The next month, however, I got my BFP! I have my dating scan tomorrow as it's difficult to tell exactly how far along I am. Good luck with it all!

Thanks! Congrats to you too! I am now 8weeks and 4days along and due on the 23rd Jan. Let me know your due date! I had my dating scan last week that told me I was 7weeks 1day and I saw the babies heart beating very strong, was amazing! Very Exciting times!

I had my dating scan today and I'm exactly 6 weeks along - I saw the little heart beating as well! My due date is February 10th. It's all very exciting, isn't it!
