    TTC#2 - is it easier?

I am wondering if there is any scientific studies / evidence / stats that TTC#2 takes less time than TTC#1?

TTC#1 took us 12 months of intense trying... ovulated every month, charting, opk's, temping, pre seed, the whole deal. BD every day or every second day, couldn't have timed it more perfectly, and still took 12 months.

Just wondering if I can hold out hope for this one to take less time?

no real answers, but i thought i *heard* somewhere that you are more likely to conceive when you start af after giving birth, cause more eggs are released? i hope i'm not making that up... fingers crossed for an easier journey second time round!

Hmm...not sure of any evidence but much easier for me. Took us 12 months to get DD too, charting and everything the whole time. This one was first try, so much easier. Hope it's the same for you

DS1 took 6 months. We are currently TTC#2 and have been for 8 months, in the 8 months i have had 2 mc's... so definately not easier in my case.

I have a friend who is pg with #2 and they fell pg easier second time around. I guess everyone is different.

    Good Luck!

I haven't heard of any studies, but everyone was always telling me that it was different for everyone and that it would happen when it was meant to happen (not exactly what you want to hear after months and months of TTC).

My DS was an accident - I was on the pill, hubby & I had only been dating for a few months etc, and with my prior history of m/c's I was always scared we'd lose him too.

TTC #2 took almost 11 months from when we started TTC to when we got our BFP, with 2 m/c's along the way.

I think for me it was harder, as the m/c's messed around with my body and hormones, and the added stresses of getting married, and of hoping and praying for that elusive BFP every month wore me down a lot. It was actually the one month that I wasn't actively trying that we got our BFP, which included O'ing later than normal, a 15 day LP from the previous month (possible Chem preg like I had in January that I lost on my hens night, but I'm unsure as I didn't do a test or get a BT done that month) and it was the first time in 8 months that I had had a decent progesterone level of 37 right on O day too.

I hope you can find some studies, or at least convince someone to do some so that TTCers can have that information available to them.

I hope you get your BFP soon!
