TTC after classical caesarean-should i wait longer???

I lost my son shortly after birth in July this year. due to complications during my labour i ahad to have a 'classical caesarean' a vertical incision. my husband and i really want to start trying again. i previously concieved after 5 yrs fertility treatment, i wasn't having any periods. i have started getting a regular period and feel fairly confident i will not need fertility treatment again....every one i have spoken to is telling me to wait 6 months before trying. is there anybody here that thinks we are doing the right thing or should we really wait!!!

I am so sorry about the loss of your little boy.

I am no medical person but if it were me I would wait a few more months before TTC. Your inside incision would probably not be completely healed yet. Have you spoken to a Dr about it. I would go and talk to an ob first just to be on the safe side.

Oh Sofy what an awful thing to happen. I'm so sorry. I am pleased to hear about your regular AF though!

I had to wait 6 months but I had a horizontal csec and my kidneys failed. The doctor told me the tissue inside takes up to 6 months to heal and doesn't need to be stressed before then by a growing baby.
Only you know what the right thing for you guys is though. All I can suggest is do a bit of meidcal research first though. Don't want to do more harm than good.

    Good luck!
