Well, AF means Aunt Flow (I'm pretty sure! Lol!) and there is actually a thread here: https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=9 which explains a lot of the abbreviations!

With the ticker thing, you have to copy and paste the code into your "Signature". When you go into your "User Profile" on the left hand column the first one in the list should say "Edit Signature" or something like that. Paste the code in there.
