Well, its CD15 today for me. Could have possibly O,ed yesterday but opks did not show any +'s in the last 5 days... so... who knows. Now have to wait for FF confirmation. Will re-attach my chart for second opinions. No W or EW CM either, but I am not an over-producer in this area normally anyway IYKWIM.

Myson, if you did O yesterday at CD 14, then it is only 2 1/2 days since BD (apparenty the common O time is between 4-7pm) and the boys live for 3 days so you shoud still be in with a shot. Especially since you should now be more alkaline! Got my fingers crossed for you!

Sym - so sorry AF arrived. Yeah, I think the 3 day cut off is probably a good idea. That's what I was aiming for but I think I O'd a day early so I probalby only ended up with 2 days. Good luck catching the eggy this cycle!!

Well I think I'm actually 7DPO and have some pretty good symptoms, just waiting for that implantation!!!

Thanks Jod. So if I did O between 4-7 and if I did O on 14 and we DTD on 11 at midnight than Im looking at about a 65hr wait for the egg. Just scraping in with the three day average for boy sperm... wow, I hope it worked. If not then DH's next week home actually lines up very close to my expected O day, even better than this time. So now its watching for temp rises to confirm the egg and then the dreaded tww...which i am very excited about (ask me again in a week, i will be going crazy by then!)

I am sorry about the BFN Sym, :( I cannot not imagine how you feel but my warm and fuzzy thoghts go out to you. xx

Myson- Is there anyting else you can do to find out the day you Ovu? I know the OPK get expensive, but if you buy them on line it might work out cheaper. I am confused.. Do you not get the EW? Have you read Shettles Method??? Good book, it helped me alot. Not with falling just the Ovulation part. I had no idea ... (cluuuuuelesssss)

But you get that man of yours to be home when your body says so. I am holding a seat for you on the wagon here....

Happy Easter EAT loads of eggs

Mik. I dont get a lot in the CM dept. Never have. But I just read today that you dont use the OPK with your FMU. DOH!!!! Thats what I've been doing. Stoopid me. Cos you can miss the surge completely. So I went back in to FF and removed all the opk negatives cos I dont feel they are accurate anymore cos i didnt do it right. And now ff is hinting that i might of O'ed because the conflicting opk readings are gone. But I still have to wait a couple more days for confirmation with temps. So if I did o then im still in with a chance. Wish i knew this before i used so many of the expensive things!!! Im sure I read all instructions very carefully... so either i missed that bit or its not there???

Anyway, time for bed, but I dont think I will sleep well cos we just got home and found a snake INSIDE and we had to kill it. So now I've got the heebiejeebies BIGTIME and Ill probably have nightmares!!!! bbbbrrrrrr.

Jeeze and i was freaking out about a frog by the pool.. Snakes make my skin crawl just thinking about it.

Hi everyone, just time for a quick one. Kids are finally over the vomitting bug but now I have tons of washing and work to catch up on. Feeling sad cos today I got EW and I was hoping I was 4 dpo by now but now thinking im probably not...so confusing... anyway, problem is dh left a week ago and wont be back til middle of next month. I hate this roster stuff. So just had to come and have a whinge. Will be back when I feel like there is some hope that I am in a tww worth counting. Thanks guys. seeya.

Myson - Do you mean EWCM? Did you get this when you thought you would have been ovulating?

No I didnt Jodsan. Its a pretty rare occurence for me, and Im having a bit of trouble figuring out whats going on. You seem to have heaps of knowledge about so many TTC issues.I'm impressed! Are you in the 'health care business' or perhaps and avid reasearcher??? I will stick my chart back on my signature, can you give me a second opinion, I would really appreciate it? I might stick it in the charting threads too.

Myson, no definately not in health field, I just like to find out as much as I can about whatever I'm embarking on at the time. Your temps are bizarre this month hey! I dont temp bc usually my body gives really clear signals when I O (except for this month!). Based on how I detect mine, I reckon you may have O'd on about CD15 (bc the ovulation pains are usually just before and day of for me). Also, the fact that you have recorded fatigue that day gives me an indication (it's usually an indicator for me). For me it feels like a hormonal low, just depressed for no reason, this is apparently the estrogen peak which occurs just before the egg is released. If I wake up the next day feeling fine again then I know I have O'd already. Do you remember feeling this?

EWCM can be a sign of pregnancy, I have had loads of quite slippery CM for the past week (sorry TMI) and I am feeling quietly confident this month! Sorry TMI again, but one day (maybe 5-7dpo) it was really watery, with a slight brown tinge.

Hmm, if you did O CD15, crossing my fingers for you that the boy swimmers were still alive 3.5 days out :crossfingers:

Thanks for that. Only time will tell I suppose. I did feel funny mood wise, but it was like on and off and on and off over a few days. Maybe its 2EGGS!!! yay twins! one boy 1girl???? ha ha, now im just dreaming. Just wait and see time.. but i hate waiting...

Myson - Hmm, it's quite strange. Might be two eggs, you never know. I only just had a peek at the cycle before, how long is your average cycle?

Only time will tell for all of us and it really sucks!!

only on first real cycle after using implanon for 6 years. It took 3 months for af to come when i got it out. so it has been a long wait. But i am taking to ovulex to try and regulate my body a bit. Even before the implanon i was all over the place. anything from 3 weeks to 16 weeks.

Gee, how annoying for you. I guess it will take a few cycles for you get a good feel of what's happening, but hopefully you'll be UTD straight away and wont have to worry about that!

I checked out the link to the Jonas Calculator that Jodson posted and as far fetched as it sounds, I'm still willing to try anything. Funny thing is they gave me a date of the 30th March and my cut off using the Shettles method for a girl is also on the 30th, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

Myson - Im glad your feeling more cheerful. Hopefully you O'd earlier than you thought you did. As for me, I 'think' I got a 2 day cut-off - If I go by the OPK then it was. I know my body pretty well so I im pretty confident about that. I just hope it was enough. Oh well time will tell.

Mikaloz - Thanks for your kind pink message. Are you going to find out the gender of your baby or wait until birth? I cant wait to find out what you are having (fingers crossed).

Sym - Thanks for your message also. I used a 2 day cut-off, took magnesium and cranberry tablets to lower PH and DTD every day from the end of AF. We also used the missionary pos and DH half pulled out right at the critical time. Who knows if it made any difference? BTW I dont know anything about the Jonas method but wanted to wish you well for your TTC journey. I hope you get your pink bundle this month.

Well my last cycle was a bit all over the place, according to FF I O'd on day 16 normally I am 14 and my cycle was 30days instead of the normal 25. I think I might have to by some OPK's so I can get a more accurate picture of whats going on.

Question for those TTC a girl. What cut off are you using. I still have 2 more cycles before I will start to TTC but wasn't sure if 4 days before O is too far.

Hi Megs, Yeah, TTC a girl for us. I am not brave enough to do a 4 day cut off bc I have been TTC for 6 months, 2 day cut off for me coz I dont want to risk missing out.

re: Jonas method, I think I did actually O on my lunar fertility day this month bc AF came 5 days early and my whole cycle was thrown out of whack. So at least working out your lunar O day might help. Bc AF came 5 days early, my lunar fertility and midcycle O are going to fall on the same day this month! And apparently, according to the Jonas method, it will be a girl! So if I fall this month I will be a pretty good case study of the Jonas method, lets see! ;)

I am a bit of a believer in the lunar fertility thing bc my cycle is exactly 29.5 days and, I conceived Aiden a week earlier than I should have O'd, the sonographer was trying to tell me I have a 21 day cycle. Just not really sure if it can determine the sex of the baby!

Megs, we are trying for a girl. My cut off was yesterday so :crossfingers: hopefully everything goes to plan and we get a BFP this month. Getting my daughter would make the best Christmas present EVER!!

Last cycle we used a 5 day cut off but that was obviously too far out, was going to try 4 days this cycle but after doing some reading I decided 3 would be better for me because I've only come off Implanon in January and not sure if my cycles are back to normal yet.

I'll be doing an OPK this arvo - hopefully neg, my temp was still low this morning aswell.. If all goes to plan, I will get temp rise in 2 days time and a postive OPK tomorrow.. :)

Oooohh, so exciting, Sym. Good luck this month, go the girlie swimmers!!

Still another week til O for me so keeping pretty low profile.

Myson, did you work out when you O'd?

I still have no clue Jodsan, and FF isnt being very helpful either. I think next cycle I will plot my temps and EWCM and nothing else. Making it less stressful for me and easier for ff...??? maybe???

The way things are going I will still be waiting for the egg by the next time dh is home!!!!! Or af will arrive same time as him more likely :doh:

Myson, your bloody ovulation chart confuses me so much i just look at it like it is in another language, I am sorry to hear you cannot tell if oyu Ovulationg and that the OPK are not working for you too. Have you seen a GP? maybe they can guide you or something.. I am dying to see a BFP on your sig.

I am now 16 weeks and finally got myself a baby belly. I am just booked my next Ulta Sound and as tempting as it would be i will be waiting till Sept to find out. :)

I love surprises and i am really not too worried.

I was hoping you might have a look at my chart and see if I may have stuffed up the timing of BD for a girl.. I originally decided on a 3 day cut off but my OPK's kept coming back neg so I decided to BD in the very early hours of CD13 - OPK was neg that day, now today CD14 I had a huge temp rise (not sure if it has to do with me being sick) and the OPK is positive!!!

So which do you think I should go by? temp rise or OPK?

Sym, I would say you are going to O today so the cut off should be ok. Have you had any cramping pains?

Mik, it sounds like everything is going really well. Isn't it the best when you start getting the tummy! That's great that you are being patient to find out the sex (you're much stronger than I am). Can't help you with the car one I'm afraid, I've a got a little Peugeot that probably has to go into retirement when I have the next one. I would start a thread on the main page, your sure to get some good suggestions.

Myson, what a pain for you that O is being so evasive, especially when you are trying for a boy! I am starting to think you may have O'd on day 20, but not with any real certainty. If you did then AF should arrive in another week. I agree with Mik, maybe talk to a GP about it to see if there are any pointers. Maybe even try starting a thread on the main page to see if anyone has any good suggestions on O detection.

I took my temp an hour after I usually would and like I said I'm not feeling well, I have a terrible headache and I was so close to throwing up this morning it wasn't funny.. yuck!

The last negative OPK was yesterday about 5.30pm and then this mornings positive one was taken at 10am, so lets hope I do ovulate later today.. I can be happy about that. :) I also still have EWCM and I thought that dried up not long after a temp rise, so fingers crossed I caught/catch the egg.


Miklaoz, I drive a Holden Commodore and I have a booster and a capsule (facing forward) and I think there's enough room to add a baby capsule.. It would be a very full back seat but I think it would work.

Sym I think your cut off looks good, hope it worked for you!

Jodsan, thanks for keeping an eye on my chart. I think maybe it could have been day 20 but still not sure. If it was then there is no way I am UTD cos DH was not here. BUT if by some miracle it was actually day 14 then that would make me 14DPO tomorrow and the swimmers would still have been lurking back then..... and suddenly the little tests are calling out to me from the bedside draw... "yoohhoo, I'm in here...come and pee on me.." So of course by tomorrow morning I will probably pee on the little bu##ers just to shut them up!!!

Hey Mik. My cousin has three littlies in the back of a navara dual cab. and that must be a car with the smallest back seat ive even seen. But she fits a capsule and two car seats. She puts the 3 yr old in the middle cos she is able to climb out over the other seats once she is unclipped, and she knows how to pop dummies back in for the other two. very handy! SO jealous of your little bump!! I cant wait to feel that again, and when you feel them start to move... ooohhh so cool! thats the best bit of being UTD i think.

Well its been 17 days since we last dtd. ff hasnt given me lines and im at cd28. I tested anyway and its another bfn. off to stick my head in a huge bucket of coffee and drink myself to the bottom. :(

Day 32 and no red FF lines, no af and no bfp, I am in MENSTRUAL LIMBO, and I do not like it one bit!!!!

DH home on Sunday night... maybe there is a little egg in there just waiting for him to come home again?

Hey Myson, Its quite the mystery isn't it. Looking at your chart today, I still think you may have O'd on day 20. Do you have any PMS symptoms? How long is DH home for?

Sym - How's you TWW going? Did you work out for sure when you O'd? How long did your cut-off end up being?

Me - Pretty sure I O'd yesterday. After heaps of research, we didn't do a shettles cut-off, we did BD every day for a few days to lower sperm count but last was PM on night before O so probably a 12-24 hr cut-off. The cranberry supplements have worked wonders to make CM more cloudy/creamy (sorry TMI), so that means I am more acidic and I thought that should dispense of the need for a cut off. I actually dropped the whole girl diet this month bc the dairy was making me too bloated, but I honestly think the Cranberry supplements are enough. I took a dose of 20,000mg per day for a few days before O. Now I know they made me more acidic straight away bc they upset my stomach ulcers and made me nauseous (one of the reasons I did not want to stay on the girl diet). Also, I O'd on a girl planet (Jonas method) and 3 days into a new moon (moon theory), so all in all, pretty good girl attempt according to a mix of methods. Overall, just hoping that BD closer to O brings results this month, 6th cycle for me!

Wow Myson, i am so dissapointed for you. :( I wish it was easier for you. I think you just need to go with the punches and DTD everyday!.

Or , maybe you could go see your Gp, he might be able to advise you of your next step. A friend of a friend went to one a few years ago and they helped her. I cannot rememeber where but the GP advised her to see some Clinic, i will try and find out.

"Ahhh no i don't....". :) I am keen to find out, but both DH and i are so fine to wait, we both love the suprise.

Is anyone else close to finding out? Will you find out?

Ive read that if the woman orgasms it can increase the likelyhood of a boy....but my question is....does this mean orgasm before/during/after DTD (ie foreplay, during the act, or after the deed is done)!?

Hi Kimbaz, O at all of those times I'm afraid. The reason O is supposed to be helpful for TTC boy is bc it creates a more alkaline environment. So they say no O for TTC a girl, to try to keep the environment more acidic. Can't say I've stuck to that rule though, DH just wouldn't let it happen, so I'm relying on the cranberry to make me acidic enough ;)

Hi Mik, Wow, bubs is moving! Isn't that just the best feeling, I really liked that I could really start to get a feel for what bubs was up to. You go girl, stick to your guns! Sounds like you are going to get nagged to death though!
