What would you do?

Just wanting to get opinions here - personal experiences good too

DH has basically given the go-ahead to start TTC #2 now (we were going to start next month). If we were to try and be successful this month, #2 would be due 1 week before DD's 2nd birthday. In your opinion, is this too close? If we were to fall pregnant next month there would be a three week gap, then again, DD was born 1 week early, so if that was to happen again either option would result in a 2 week gap..... Then again, it could take us a lot longer to TTC this time and we might wish we started sooner.....

Anyway, what would you do?

Start now as you never know whats ahead of you. If you are lucky to conceive straight away fantastic if it takes months you have then not wasted any oportunities.

Plenty of siblings have birthdays close to each other I know someone who has her birthday shared with 1 of her DD birthdays and her other DD bday is next day. Still all have special times.

I would start anyway, never would I expect to fall pg on the first go. But I am a LTTTCer....(what a great label..) ..But even if DH and I could conceive ourselves I don't think I would ever expect to fall on the first time anyway, even if we were "normal"

Hmmmm.... Maybe we will.... Just to clarify to the people saying not to expect to fall preg first go - whilst I don't expect it as such, we pretty much had that happen last time - twice. Fell preg first month off the pill but that ended in miscarriage. The next month we DTD at completely the wrong time due to long cycle due to miscarriage. The next cycle we DtD at the right time and preg again....

if that happens again you are an extremely blessed and lucky and its a bonus right? what have you got to loose trying anyway?

My #2 is due 2 weeks before my DS turns 2. I say go for it! No big deal if they have a birthday in the same month or even on the same day..

I wouldn't want to miss out on 2 chances of ovulation (especially because I have PCOS and wasn't ovulating very regularly).

Go for it. We have fallen pretty much straight away with all of ours.

Dd2 and ds are five days apart. And in fact it's great. The whole house is in bday mode

My DDs EDD's were a day apart. Their birthday's ended up being 9 days apart.

I would start trying anyway

I'd go for it. If their birthdays are meant to be that close together, then so be it. Given you are extremely fertile by the sounds of it you could always just do the not trying/not preventing thing then go full swing after this month?

So what if their birthdays are close together? All it means is you get to have 2 celebrations close together.

You won't see us preventing to avoid a particular birthday. Last cycle would have given us a Christmas baby which I always thought was the worst time of year to have a birthday but it didn't stop us TTC. Then again, if we had your history of getting a BFP quickly maybe we would have waited?

I really don't want to be heavily pregnant through summer for our next bub. But when it comes down to it, I want another baby more than I want to avoid a summer pregnancy. Similar happened when we were trying and got Amelia - the desire to have another baby overruled the fear of potentially having "the new baby" born on Ianto's birthday.

You just have to work out which sounds better

I know how you feel in a different way. I really would like a winter baby again. So I have my plans of when we will start trying. If I were to get pregnant at anytime though then it was meant to be.

Yay for you ready to do some baby dancing. I am very excited for you and you just never know what might happen so just go for it. Throw caution to the wind. Enjoy the ride.
