I need some decent knives, any suggestions?

Bit downmarket here, but I have a wiltshire knife block with 5 knives and a seperate sharpener and it hasn't missed a beat. You don't need to spend hundreds.

I currently have Wiltshire and I am unhappy with the quality of the steel. No matter how I wash them they seem dull and dirty still.

The more I read about Furi knives, the more I like them. If I only order 1 or 2 and a diamond sharpener it'll do me. I'll need a bigger one for meat and such and a smaller one if i'm cutting stuff like fruit/veg.

CL, I'm so glad you started this thread as I had the EXACT same question to ask! I thought seeing as we are reno'ing my kitchen a nice new SHARP knife set would be a great addition to the crappy one we currently have. I think I'm going to look into these Furi ones also, had never heard of them before!!! I only use 2 knives out of the 4 in the set we currently have anyway. Again CL... THANKS!!!!

Oh well... just checked Peters of Kensington .. awesome price and THEY'RE MADE IN BRISSY!!! WTG! I think I'm buying some of these knives... maybe after tax time ... weeeeeeeee!!!!

Dp is a butcher. Victornoix here! I love them, hes sharpened them but only for the hell of it when he first got them after he finished his appreteship sp? 7 years ago lol
