I am now the proud owner of a mixer, food processor and blender

I have just unpacked them (from Kitchenware Direct) and I can't believe we finally have KitchenAid. I always wanted a red mixer but DH really liked the pink and it has a 50's housewife feel to it so I was happy to agree but then finding colours in the others to match was a pain so we ended up with almond cream for both. The food processor is enormous! hahaha

I have named our pink mixer Audrey and our blender Betty and have left it up to DH to decide on the food processors name.

I am so excited I don't know what to make to christen them. I have the free cookbook so will grab a cuppa and have a flick through and the DVD has printable recipes too so will check those out at some point. I can't wait to use them - excited!!!

WOOHOOO! Congratulations! You won't know yourself now... You'll have to tell us what you christen them with I can definitely recommend the carrot cake for the food processor (it's on the website), as well as the donuts or crepes in the blender (also on the website) and pretty much ANYTHING in the mixer

Thanks Rouge, I've always wanted to make a carrot cake and donuts yum.

LisaBear did the cherry and pistachio biscotti not turn out so well? Why the sad face

BG, I really wanted black for the others but DH thought it would look too 60's with the black and pink. It wasn't an easy decision.

i wanted either silver/chrome or black (to go with the rest of the stuff in the kitchen - when i couldn't get all three in the same silver/chrome finish, black was the easy winner

i loved some of the colors but ultimately i let practicality decide me. can't change the color of this kitchen to fit around my KA whim, so i went practical colors lol

Ooh I've been meaning to join this thread for ages! I have a KA mixer in the anniversary edition candy apple red. I just love it! It is very well used.
Also for Easter DH got me a set of red KA saucepans (can you tell my favorite co our yet?) They are just beautiful to use. I didn't even know KA made saucepans....

It's taken all week but I finally christened Audrey by making Sultana Scones from the KA cookbook. I was a little apprehensive so started with something simple. They were yummy too and I had a big smile turning her on for the first time. I think I will do a ****tail in the blender to christen that tonight and the carrot cake in the food processor. DH has renamed our blender to Belinda and called our FP Frank.

I am proud to announce the "birth" of a new candy apple red KA mixer by the name of " Ruby"...I like to stroke her and gaze at her lovingly. She has only been out of her box around 2 hours and I dont want her to get dirty.
