i used to use my breadmaker a lot but have just started using it again.

I bought the 5kg bag of flour and this will give me 10 x 1kg loafs of bread. The bulk bag costs $11/$12. I only make a 750g loaf with it rather then the 1kg loaf and basically will be able to make about 14/15 loaves of bread.

So if you buy the flour in bulk it certainly works out much cheaper, less then $1 per loaf... and you're right, the bread tastes amazing.

and also has a great texture to it. I've chosen not to use the 'bread improver' because i like the texture it gives without it. You may find the recipes say to put bread improver in the mix, but you dont need to. A containter of yeast only costs $3 odd dollars so definately buy the yeast separately.
