Been looking at the FAQ, just wanted to know from the experience of others.
Have some Wii hand weights, so hoping they are sufficient for the moment. Already have kitchen scales, could not live without those and cooking!
Digital scales make a big difference. Most everything else is optional IMHO.
I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my HRM![]()

Well, I put it on and it just tells me what my heart rate is... I'm not sure how to make it do anything else... ? I thought these things basically wash your car for you! Mine just tells me what my heart rate is... not calories burned, or anything else...
It's a Polar. It was my Christmas prezzie from my fam![]()
Mine is also a Polar, not sure if it's the same model but I have to press a button once it has my heart rate on the screen.
Do you know which model?
From memory on the FT40 it's the middle right button pressed twice to start a workout and then once to pause, twice to finish it. Then you use the top/bottom buttons to scroll through the menu and go back to look at your data or change stats etc.

I shall try this![]()
How did people go with their 8 week challenge?

I didn't do a mini milestone but measurements are down and my fitness test has improved alot. I am still about 1 min slower in the time run than when I finished the last MB12WBT but I figure I'll get close to there by the end of the 12 weeks. I stopped exercising completely when I fell pg & I was pretty fit (pt twice a week as well as other exercise) prior.
Did you do a mini milestone?
I did, but it was with DH and he kind of passed out part way through (going up the 1000 steps) so we had to go back down ...
Was so close!! But really couldn't just leave him up there, in the dark, feeling sick and light headed.
We made it down in a decent time though, and it was still a good work out.
Poor DH ...
Need to do the body test tomorrow!
Question for those who did the last 12WBT, someone said somewhere previously, that since last round, you would be able to change some of the meals to another on the site, and it would also change your shopping lists, etc. is this true? is it easy to do? does it save your preferences when you log out?
I've done 12WBT but i kinda stopped halfway through because i HATED spending like an hour chopping and changing the shopping lists and finding another meal i liked (which wasn't all that often, maybe 1-2 times per week, sometimes less). I'd like to do it again, but don't want to if the menus cant be changed.![]()
You can totally change it around.
Just keep an eye on your calories, and try to match your protein/strength training, and carb/cardio![]()
I think she tends to pair the more meat/dairy things with days where you do your weights and core work, and the days where you have pasta/rice with the days you do cardio
I don't think it's the be all and end all.
Basically if you're being sensible, sticking to 1200 calories a day and exercising 6 times a week, you really can't go too wrong...

I'm yet to see a function that changes the shopping list but maybe i missed it.
I find it easier to write my own though so maybe I just didn't look hard enough.
I don't think there is a function to do that... there are a lot of suggestions for it. The only thing able to be altered is still vegetarian to regular I can't see a function for the rest.
I think Peanutter maybe just meant it's ok to change the meals, not that you can actually do it as part of the menu?? (but feel free to enlighten me of this function if i am wrong as it would probably make it easier for me!!!)
At the moment I just create lists for the recipe index with meals that fit our taste and budget etc, Write down everything for each recipe and then add all the bits and piece together. It takes me about half an hour now that I am more efficient at it. Choosing meals is the hard part these days as we have run through all our favourites.
I'm doing round 2 so I've bought 2 of michelles books and a lot of the recipes involve bread and pasta. Are they a big part of 12wbt? I can't eat it without feeling sick so I'm wondering if I can just ditch those without substituting
