I found that I had an hour up my sleeves while dp took dd2 to dance so I squeezed in a Core and flex workout before my bike ride - made me feel a bit better!

    Questions:

    1. Is anyone else's palate changing? I just can't stomach refined sugar at the moment - I treated myself to my all time fave on Monday (skinny hazelnut latte) and it just tasted foul ...

Yeah, it is. I just had a couple of my DD's fries from the golden arches and they were really salty and had a horrible fatty taste to them

    2. Anyone else getting ragey headaches?

No, I haven't but I am still having caffeine and am drinking alot more water due to bf and dropping diet soft drinks

    3. How many days a week are people managing a solid exercise?

No, not me. I fit in what I can when I can around my two girls. I have been trying to at least walk daily but sometimes it doesn't happen. Night exercise is near impossible b/c Miss K cluster feeds from around 3/4pm until 9pm. I don't want to exercise at that time as I then have to be up again for 1-2 night feed. I know I should JFDI but I am cutting myself some slack until Miss K stops with her cluster feeding.

    4. What is your 4 week challenge/goal going to be?[/QUOTE]

I hope to lose 4-6 kgs and improve my fitness, which I know are both doable.

Going to weigh myself tonight ... hopefully doesn't stuff up my goal too badly - only supposed to fluctuate about 1kg per day, yeah?

Not holding out too much hope - had lunch at Maha (though don't think I overate, and I had no wine) and have hardly been to the gym over the past week (a little hard to go when I'm at work til 11pm...)

Need to write down the 4 points Michelle made in this week's video ...

:-( Well, this is a new day so stick to the plan as much as possible and hopefully next week it will show. If not, measurements will be a good indication of how you really are going

I was down .1, but if I'd used this morning's weight I would have been down .6 (so another .5).

    Hi girls.
Hoping its ok for me to join in here.
I'm hoping to sign up to do the upcoming round but need the ok from my dr this week first after my surgery. DH got me Michelle's crunch time books for my birthday so worst case I can at least start with the food side of things and work up to the full exercise plans. So many ppl I know have had so much success so I figure its worth a try. Ill have heaps of time on my hands this week so I can have a proper look at the books and exercise plans etc. hoping to loose about 30kgs all up but know that it won't happen straight away. We'll see how we go

    Hi there, hun!

    Welcome!

I've been doing ok, but last week was pretty ****house ... only dropped a couple of hundred grams, and I didn't get to the gym. Not once. I had something after work every day, and the whole of yesterday, and half of today.

Hoping to get there every night after work except for Wednesday (AGM).

Also planning on doing better with eating - I'm doing fine except for when I have client lunches or seminars. Client lunches I'm making good choices, but sometimes by the time the food comes I'm so starving that I've had the bread and oil invariably on offer (I totally have to get better at having a light yoghurt before I go ... I keep packing it but forgetting until it's time to go!) but at conferences, there's often no good choice available, or no way of bringing anything unless I just put a muesli bar in my handbag (which is no better, frankly ...)

But not much of that in the next couple of weeks, so wish me luck!

Funny you say that my DH is being a hater too. Going on that its a con you dont need to pay someone to tell you to eat healthy and exercise pfft

    A modest week - 800gm loss.

But a loss is a win, right?

    Hi all

Hope you don't mind me crashing in to ask a question. It might be one for those who have done the plan before...

I have been umming and ahhhing about doing the next round. What puts me off is that 1200 cals is not enough to sustain healthy weight loss IMO. My basal metabolic calculations work out that I can eat closer to 2000 cals a day and lose a KG a week. I'm concerned if I do 12wbt the weight will come straight back on if I begin to increase my daily intake by even a few hundred cals. Is the idea that you stay on VLC eating plan forevermore? (Not sustainable) or is there a maintainence plan with more cals??? What does Mish say about this???

I'm pretty sure the lean and strong program (what is advised once you hit your goal weight) has more cals, that's more for toning and fitness. I rarely feel hungry, the portions are quite surprising, not sure if others feel the same.
