Just finished today's step workout, I don't rate it at all. I was really disappointed and frustrated with it, about half way through I stopped trying to do all the different steps and just focussed on a few basic ones that I could do at a fast pace. I won't be doing it next time it comes up - I'll choose a different video instead!

I haven't tried any videos yet.
I got my heart rate monitor in the mail today. Love it!
Im struggling with food today. My tmx bowls were both in the dishwasher this morning so I had a yoghurt instead of the smoothie but the babies have been so clingy and are now asleep on me so I haven't had anything since. Im starving!

How do you guys watch the videos to exercise? Do you watch them on a laptop in an area where you can exercise?
I haven't done any exercise yet (totally disorganised in that regard). Incidentally, I changed my exercise program from Learn to Run to just the beginners exercise program because I haven't been able to get out of the house to exercise for three days and thought it would be easier to exercise when bubs is sleeping.
I'm doing ok on the food, not sticking to it down to the last calorie (hate the way they use calories and not kilojoules) but improvising here and there and still doing okay.( DS has been feeding quite a bit overnight the last couple of nights so I'm not too worried if I've gone over a bit on the food)
Some of the recipes are super yummy (I'm not much of a cook so I've impressed myself!!! Lol).
I saw on the forum that the step workout isn't great Sepata, what a shame cause I normally really like step.

I don't use the videos, I tend to go to the gym.

I went today (the first time in months unfortunately ) and learned that in about 2 weeks, they're becoming 24/7!! Huzzah!

No more having to choose between finishing work or the gym, or having dinner with the family or the gym!!

AND it means that I can go super early, and still get to the station in time for my favourite train - if mornings would be better!

    Very happy.

How did people go with their body test and measuring?

    Any good or nasty surprises?

I've put about 4 kg on since finishing round 1, which is pretty bad, but could have been worse. I've basically been sick for 3.5 months, and have had two injuries (all but broke a toe, and badly bruised my coccyx - at separate times) so it could have been worse.

Happily though, while my weight has gone up, it's pretty much what I was at back at week 8 of Round 1, and my measurements are almost all LESS than that day.

And my body test results are pretty similar too - some better (sit and reach- by 2 cm!) some worse (the 1km - by almost 1.00 min).

So there's good and bad, but not all bad.

    Press on!

So far I've been watching the videos on the laptop in our exercise area, I can get them on the telly through our playstation but sometimes there's a bit of a lag and I like working out in the sunroom better than the lounge. I'll see it that changes as the days get hotter!

I haven't tried any of the recipes yet as I shop fortnightly and this week rolled into my last shop and was before recipes were unlocked. I've worked out my next fortnight though so I'm looking forward to trying some.

Most of the recipes are YUM.

Also, you can customise the meal plan - so you click on the meal you want to change, and you can scoll through other options (alphabetically) to get another, and then it changes your shopping list for you

Works well or me - I can swap all the workday brekkies for things I can do easily at work (so no huervo rancheros, or baked eggs with carmelised onion!) and I can swap out the meals I won't like (or won't be home for, etc).

I've loved about 90% of them.

I need to read through and print out the best of the new recipes.

My absolute fave so far is the lamb one with the mint and fetta peas, and pureed roast beetroot. Drooooooooooooooool.

How is everyone going heading into week two?
I joined the gym today so im excited about getting my fitness back!
Had a few drinks over the weekend at dads goodbye party (hes gone on a cruise) so that set me back
Dh got me a fit bit (flex) as an early xmas pressie. I must admit I think I preferred the ultra. But its good motivation to get moving!
Watched the video about cravings today and it was so good. Great tips too.

Going pretty well. My protein powder arrived today so I've started having smoothies for lunch, just to make things easier. I watched to video too and my first thought was 'where's my exercise happy hormones?' Seriously I'm such a grump after I work out.

Woohoo, just weighed in and I've lost 1.8kg. This puts me right on the edge of healthy and overweight bmi, which means if everything goes well this week I should reach my first mini goal of being in the healthy bmi range

900gm - but that was weighing tonight, instead of this morning. So hopefully more like 2, 2.5 ... ?

Haven't got to the gym this week yet, because have been way too busy, plus working late.

And I've got stuff on tomorrow night, Friday night, and a conference all weekend!

Can't wait for my gym to go 24/7 in a couple of weeks ... !

Hooray, go us! I'm really sore today. Yesterday I realised how much arm strength I don't have, and today I pushed myself really hard because I don't do weekend workouts. My poor arms!

OMG I just figured out why I've been so hungry - I miscalculated my calories and was like 200 short. I thought I wasn't getting enough proper food, even with snacks! Thank goodness I figured if out.

Oh no! Lucky you worked ot out!
Ive been to the gym every day this week even when ive not felt like it!
I did pump tonight which was great!
Im enjoying the food too which I always do.
Now to avoid alcohol this weekend. Im not looking forward to that!
Eta: I love how mfp has most 12wbt meals saved already from other members! So handy!

    Re: 12WBT November 2013

From what I've made of the food so far it's been really good, I'm impressed with how filling the dinners have been!

DH figured out today that I've been doing regular exercise. I didn't tell him because he's a terrible encourager, his version of encouraging ends up doing the opposite (he doesn't mean to). He asked why I didn't tell him so I told him that, and he promised to be careful with his words so that's a plus! Now I can stop rushing about hiding my workout clothes and gym mat before he comes home :P

    Re: 12WBT November 2013

Good thing you figured it out!

It's important to make sure you do get all the calories.

I have to make sure I don't miss the snacks during the day, otherwise I'm under for calories, and that's just as unhelpful as being over.

Good work with all the exercise!!

Hoping this week is less crazy and I can get to the gym a bit more! If not, not to worry - gym is going 24/7 in another week or two. Awesome!!
