Amy do you use cream in it? If so you could use some light evaporated milk that you get in a can. I know that in the Symply Too Good books that is what is used instead of cream.

Well I joined weight watchers online too... it says I can have 28 points a day! That seems like a lot....

We had a yummy ww recipe last night, maple chicken... all you do is marinate some chicken in maple syrup and soy and then grill. We had it with some corn and salad... yummo!

For those of you getting worried about results... are u weighing in every day? If so, I'd probably avoid doing that. Stick to a weigh in once a week at the same time of day
Well done on joining WW online. I too am online with WW so if you need any help with it, let me know! I've been on it for 3 weeks now. Can't wait for weigh in tomorrow! Ah 28 points, that seems alot, I wish that were me. I am allowed only 20 per day. I normally have around 18 per day and eat heaps. Plus I earn points too. Love it! Good luck with it then!

DH has put in a request for a meal tonight and I'm trying to make it as healthy as possible...

    HELP!!

Chicken with White Wine and Mushroom Sauce and vegies.

How can I make it healthy?
I make it with light evaporated milk! Really low fat.

    Congratulations TK!!

Well I'm quite sure I haven't lost anything this week, though I'm not surprised after a good loss last week. I've had a bad few days, but not because I gave in, just circumstances. I've made the best choices I could, but not great food. Will see how it goes tomorrow when I jump on the scales.

    All the best ladies!!

YAY weigh in day tomo (i cant believe i am excited about getting on the scales) Pretty pleased with myself today i have done 55 mins of aerobic exercise on wii fit. Still dont think i've eaten enough though. Am i the only one that cant seem to eat properly. I am really struggling with breakie and lunch and then am starving by mid arvo which is when i used to graze on junk but now i'm having NO junk. I do try to eat breakie at least but i find i dont have 2 mins to myself whilst running around after my munchkins.

Well just thought i'd share some of my mini achievments for the last 2 wks and would love to hear everyone elses too.

    before the challenge vs now.

before 6-8 cups of tea with sugar - now 1-2 cups of white tea, skim milk, no sugar
before NO water- now a minimum of 1.5L
before at least 4 soft drinks a day vs now a maximum of 1 pepsi max or coke zero
before NO exercise- now at least 45 mins every 2nd day
before NO breakfast or lunch just grazed on junk all day - now at least 2 proper meals and no grazing on junk (still have room for improvement here but this in itself is an achievment for me)

    GL everyone for tomo

Im so happy to night Ive lost 2 pounds whoo hoo, I eventually got to weigh my self ( have to invest in a scales) I was so worried as well as I had a load of friends over and we had a big dinner on sunday and cake a big cream filled chocolate cake and biscuits I did go for a walk as well, have been getting a walk in every day. but i feel so motivated now delighted I know its only a small loss but its a start in the right direction.

im thinking of joining good life does any one know if they are expensive and do they cost much to leave the kids in the creche if they have one. that's if my two youngest would let me exercise, I think i need to do toning exercises to help tone up now.

any way good luck with the weigh ins, hope its all going well, and even if its not just start again dont give up..

some one said something about trying really hard and it hasn't shown on the scales, well from dieting before i got pregnant, I know from experience that sometimes the weight loss does not happen every week and you can go a week and no loss then the following you have a big weight loss, it just happens some times.

No loss for me this week

I feel a bit bummed about it considering I have been walking EVERY day for at least 30 minutes (sometimes 1.5 hours) and I have been sticking to 1200 calories or less a day. It's frusterating that I didn't see a loss but I am still pleased that I didn't gain anything. I've been doing lots of toning exercises (squats, lunges, sit ups) so I'm thinking maybe I am putting on more muscle??

Everytime I felt my stomach grumbling from hunger I assured myself it was for a good reason - and then to not show any loss whatsoever is a real bummer.

I'm going to keep at it though - maybe I need to boost my motabolism by eating more frequently rather than just the three meals a day.

I do FEEL thinner and lighter.

Last night I really over did it with the exercise. I was so determined to put in a good effort for weigh in that I took myself out in 35 degree heat and I walked up hill for over an hour. By the time I got home my head was pounding and I felt really faint. Not my brightest idea...

AmySarah, I am in the same place this week! I have had a slight weightloss but no cm's. Not sure how it is possible because I feel slimmer . Very strange.
Maybe next week we will lose double?

I have this theory that your body goes into starvation mode and you don't lose weight. I have in the past increased my cals only by a couple of hundred and then it's weight loss back again. Also go from the 3 meals to 5 smaller ones, sometimes less exercise woks better. I lost weight walking uphill ever second day for 3kms did'nt take long to do and the weight dropped off. I walked really hard though....

    TK congrats on the BFP

Punkin love the heels idea I will have to try itI just hope I don't slip over and break something that's all (thats the mum part of me talking)

Niamh I got some digital scales from Big W for $22 nice glass ones.

I agree girls back on the wagon, time to brush myslef off and get going again. I definately don't want to weigh this much ever again and like Lucy said time will pass regardless, I AM SO SICK OF FEELING FAT AND CLOTHES NOT FITTING MEand these emotions are what are going to HELP ME not make it harder.

Good luck for the weigh in.

queenbee - thanks, I have used WW online before, lost about 10kgs prior to getting married using it... unfortunately I put it all back on, plus more! I used to only get 20 points too... I guess the extras are cause I am a little heavier now, as well as breastfeeding. I only used 26 of them yesterday, and I even had low fat icecream for dessert cause it was so hot here

well done on the results girls... havent done mine yet cause I cant find the tape measure, but the scales say I have lost

Amy - try not to feel bummed hun. You're doing an awesome job. I don't think your stomach should be grumbling from hunger though. I agree with blackduckies about your body going into starvation mode if you don't eat enough and often, it will hold on to all the fat and water for energy. Try spreading your meals out to 5 a day - still have your 3 main ones and add a couple of snacks in the morning and arvo, like some fruit, handful of nuts, yoghurt, piece of cheese, carrot sticks dipped in some low fat cottage cheese, etc, etc

Well done to everyone who has lost or stayed the same weight

For me i lost 1.8kg and a few cms but only from my bust, hips and waist really none from my arms and legs. I have been good today and am in cleaning mode. Have done out all my kitchen cupboards so even though its not lots of exercise at least im not sitting on my bottom

Blah I gained 200g this week, however I lost 3cm off my waist. Hopefully, next week I see a bigger decrease on the scales.

Took my before photos this morning and almost died. I didn't think I looked the way I do! It was definitely good motivation to keep going. I'm going to keep them private for now, but I think I'll print them out along with a photo of me when I was at my goal weight a couple years ago and stick them up together on the wall in front of my elliptical trainer so I can stare at them when I'm running and motivate myself!

Laranna - I felt the same way with my before shots - I didn't think I looked that bad!!! It's amazing how you're brain can trick you when you're looking in the mirror. Mine are also filed away somewhere private but I am looking forward to posting them in here with my "after" shots when I am at my goal weight!
