njd- I do my personal training with Step into life- they are an Australia wide franchise thing. They promote themselves as group out-door personal training. My sessions cost $14 each- and we train for an hour, including warm up, main session and cool down/ stretching. At my local gym my membership was $35 month and a PT session would have been about $20 for 30 mins on top of my membership, so I feel like I am up on the deal. Plus I really like the idea of working out in a group, I had reservations at first about being the biggest, most unfit etc, but now I just go at my own pace, but use the pace of the people around me to help push me along, I also love the social aspect of it.
My trainer is male, and once I was over the shy, Im big and unfit and he is going to judge me etc, I realised that he was really actualley very supportive, and realistic in helping me set my goals etc.
In our session we do a warm up, depending on what sort of session it is, so either some focus mit work for kick boxing, with shuttle runs, cardio obstacle course (hurdles, medicine ball carry etc), this morning we went for a jog around the block, sometimes we play soccer or volley ball as our warm up. Main workout is really about keeping the heart rate up, so lots of running, k/boxing is lots of punching and kicking on the bag with running in between. I also do toning session where we either use fit balls and weights, rubberised bands with handles, or just weight- and this is alot of strenght stuff.
I guess really it comes down to personal choice, for me it works because I have a tendency to get lazy so having someone I know is going to be kicking me up the bottom, and ringing me if I dont turn up really works.

Forgot to say before that I got my wii and wii fit , and I love it- I know it is a novelty thing at the moment, but it is fun, and I figure even if I dont use it as the bulk of my excercise, at least it is better than just sitting on the couch watching TV. I like the idea of the free step, so I can just do step ups and still watch telly. Even DH is already addicted, and he doesn't like to do excercise at all, and he is already talking about getting in his 30 mins daily.

Awesome work everyone - you are all really getting into this!

I havent done anything different, from what i started doing in March. Since march i have lost about 6 kg's and i havent been doing my measurements, but my SIL said to me the other day (she hasnt seen me since march), she said "wow have you lost heaps of weight?" I was stunned as she doesnt say much, let alone something like that so that was good. I can feel and see it, so can DF so thats awesome!

I met with the personal trainer who is taking the boot camp. It starts at 6.15AM on monday morning. CANNOT WAIT! its gonna be so hard but so good!!!!

There is only 8 in our group... and although im slightly apprehensive i am looking forward to it and im determined.

I wanna do some personals but there is so many and i have boxes i need to pack. So when i have a minute i will drop in..

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL OF US for sunday

AHHH! I put ON 100g. Its only 100g but still. So i had today off, and am paying for it now! Ate a creamy seafood thing today and now probably have to run off back to the john!

I did do something for ME today (coz tomorrow we're going to a car show. Then seeing mil... ). Firstly, went to the shops with dh and ds. I had a massage! I went to the library (dh and ds free!). Picked up some Weight Watchers books off the shelf that are always on request. When i got picked up, ds nappy had been changed twice (inc a dirty one, which dh can't normally change!)and ds was asleep! Lunch at a pub then some specials at bunnings. House tidyed. What a great day! It may sound boring and simple, and a day before mothers day. But i enjoyed it!

Sorry to bore you there, just thought i'd share with you! Will be walking tomorrow! I'm about to print off some signs for my kitchen saying 'the more i drink the more i shrink', 'the more i move the more i lose' and a quote from my weight watchers leader for tracking what i eat 'you bite it you write it'.

Hope every one has a fantastic mothers day!

    great motivation there Scone!

Keep going all ... I had a bad day, kids' birthday party and the healthiest thing there was the fruit punch I brought! Ahhh well. Didn't have tea tonight (didn't need it) and no alcohol tonight either, just drinking my water.

Ali - sounds like your bootcamp is brilliant!

Well, tomorrow's another day Have a good one all.

Thanks cherished, we've set the date for 15th August.

Cookiemonster, I hope that the meals are not tooooo bad but most of all I hope you enjoy your night out.

Thanks njd, unfortunately didn't get to eat too much of my party food as I was running around talking to people etc. I did manage to get a taste of my little mini ham and marscapone pizzas before they got scoffed down!

Kazbah, I made some mini zucchini frittatas for the birthday party today and they don't have cream in them but they do have sour cream. Just 8 eggs, 2/3 cup light sour cream (don't know if that is just as bad as regular cream?) and grated zucchini with some parmesan cheese.

Papillon, that's fantastic when other people notice! Good work on the loss so far.

Scone, sounds like you had a lovely day. And yes I think you can get your goal in 7 weeks!

AFM, PHEW! What a long day. I have only just sat down. DS's first birthday party was today. He's not one until Monday but we just had the party today. I made lots of goodies which I hardly got to eat because I was too busy to put food in my mouth. That's a good thing I guess! I didn't even eat a piece of his cake, although there is some leftover. There are pics of the cake on my FB if anyone wants to peek. I did a teddy bears picnic theme. Anyway, so after a long day there was no time or energy left to get dinner so DF nuked a couple of meat pies in the microwave for us for dinner. Not exactly healthy I know.

Tomorrow's going to be a bit hard with the food as I'm putting on a breakfast for my mum and family for Mother's Day, bacon, eggs, hash browns, chipolatas, fried mushroom and tomatoes, OJ. Will just stick to eggs and muffins I think. Then for dinner we are going to MIL's place and she's making a green curry which are just divine. Will definitely squeeze some exercise in somewhere.

I'm envious of all you girls with PT's. I want one too!
