    HOw is everyone this evening?
Heading for another walk with Kate tomorrow morning.. i am sooooo looking forward to it.
Today we had the girls MCHN appt, and i packed sandwiches and some strawberries for lunch and resisted buying anything naughty from the shops.. i was very pleased with myself.

What are your all time favourite SNACKS for during the day, i eat LOTS of fruit, am thinking about rice cakes but i've never really been a cream cheese or dip kind of person so what would be nice on them for a snack.. ohh and i don't eat tuna or fish etc

I never got to zumba, I had a cake in the oven that I had to wait for first. I ended up burning 650 calories on the tread riser though so it wasn't a total miss.

My cake, however, was a disaster. It didn't cook properly in the middle but I am hoping to save it by scooping out the middle bit and filling it with a different coloured cup cake. It's for a spooky spider cake so it'll look funky all two toned in the middle. And I can pretend it was on purpose. And then not eat any

I have PT session today at the gym, so will see how that goes...

Then we have the ILs visiting tomorrow... usually that involves a lot of cheese and things, but I am going to do vege sticks and hummus, and get them a blue cheese, which I dont eat...

Sounds like everyone is doing well. xx

    Good morning!

Wow, I can't believe you guys go well under your recommended calorie intake! How do you do that? I used to use Calorie King, too, so I know that I always hit the recommended intake, but I never managed to get under! Impressive

AFM, I did another hour walk this morning, so exercise is going ok. I'm just wondering if I should be doing more exercise right now or if I should slowly ease into doing more exercise over the next few weeks? I'm not comfortable to start running at the moment, as I have Plantar Fasciitis (inflammation of the tendons in the feet) and am still recovering from tearing my ligaments in my knee. Walking is no issue for me, but I'm afraid running at the weight that I am right now might strain my feet/knee too much. I would LOVE to go swimming (I love, love, love swimming), but there are a few hurdles: A) it's very exxy B) I don't have bathers, as I can't find any that fit AND support my H- cup BBs and that I can afford - and C) I don't have a car and there are no public pools in the vicinity. Does anyone here have any suggestions for me?

Walked 3.4km today as Kate had an appt but was still lovely enough to meet me in town and join me before hand.
Had a nice healthy breaky and just had a ham, tomato and lettuce sandwich, drinking plenty of water.

Raupe i think my issue is i NEED to eat a little more and bring up the calories to get my metabolism going, i just don't eat during the day and often when i did it was crap stuff that wasn't good for me, at the moment am making a big effort to eat my fruit and watch how much oil etc i am using.. i am feeling good.. right now i don't care if i don't loose a kilo.. i feel great just trying.

Raupe - can you get to a beach? Make a day of it?

ZF - I'm up for a walk next week, either Thursday or Friday if you're free. After that my car finally goes in to be repaired and then I'm stuck at home for as long as that takes, but you're welcome to come to me if you need a change of scenery. And that's for anyone else in the area too.

Did my 4 and a bit km walk, just back, having some banana and yoghurt for lunch and the off to the pool. Going to try out a new pool that's opened up sort of near me. Fingers crossed its a good one!

PRMG - iIt's meant to rain all next week i think but will let you know when and where we are going if we go and then maybe once i get back from gippsland we can come do a walk over your way.
Are mornings ok for you we have been meeting about 9:30 as it seems to work well with the kids and their sleeps etc.
Only prob is not all the roads have good footpaths etc around here.

Yep, no worries time wise and lack of footpaths is no probs either. Grrr to bad weather. Why can't it just rain at night?!

Ohh Traveller! You've got a new avvy! Spike! ohhh... *drooool*

PacRacMG: Yes, I can! I walk to the beach everyday! It takes about 30min there and 30 min back (that is my usual hour walk, along a pretty river). The water is still freezing though (I'm in SA). I'm somewhat scared of the sea though... last year while I was swimming we had to evacuate the water because there was a 4m Great White The next time I *bravely* went swimming, I was stung by a fish and had to go to the emergency room. Wasn't fun, I tell ya! So I'm not sure if I'm brave enough to go swimming in the sea again...

get my wii fit back monday it will be set up and i will be challenging hubby so that will be fun

i bought some plain yoghurt and toasted musili and nuts today to have for breaky think it may be better than sultana bran
just had salad with dressing for lunch, but that only totalled 60 calories so will have a snack soon

Hey hun with the muesli etc just double check as a lot of the toasted muesli with fruit in tehm actually has more sugar etc than you'd expect so you never know sultana bran might be about even.
As an example for a 60g serve (based on some stuff i have here):

    Sultana Bran: 203 calories

    Toasted Muesli (w/fruit) 242 calories

This is based around that KJ / 4.2 - so really the muesli on it's own is higher without adding in yoghurt etc.
    Does that make sense?

Just sticking my head in here, all you girls are going great!

I just wanted to say with the muesli you want the UNtoasted because the toasted is way higher in calories.

Half a cup of untoasted muesli plus 150grams of low fat plain yoghurt plus half a banana is around 340 calories.

    damn...

well it is higher than my sultana bran, but i still feel hungry after i eat that and have calories left over each day.
so my theory is it may make me fuller and keep me level with my calorie intake so ill actually burn my food effectively as right now my body feels in starvation mode. as im not reaching the 1200 calorie goal
