Welcome hun, like i said we are here for support and to help motivate you, if your feeling crappy come in here.. we wont baby you and will say ti straight up.

Can i just say your meal plan sounds GREAT but 1 thing to remember is you NEED to snack, healthy things like fruit, maybe some nuts.. maybe log your calories on somewhere like myfitnesspal it will suggest how many calories you need in a day and try and stick to it, i wasn't having ENOUGH and so my metabolism wasn't doing what it needed to.

hun you've taken the first step.

Welcome KM! You prob need more food than that, you need it to lose weight (cos if you dont have enough your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to the fat) and if you are like me if it is too strict it is too hard to stick to and then you eat crap.

Do you have any short term goals as well?

KM, you CAN do this! You'll feel so good about yourself and you'll be able to run around crazy after Kailey when she hits the toddler stage! I found in the early days, as did a few others in here, that my fitness pal worked really well for the calorie counting. Made a few of us realise that we weren't eating enough. It really does help. It's free to sign up, just google my fitness pal if you want to use it.

Or the other option is calorieking (the aus one) - I found that really helped me too. It just made it all transactional & took the emotion out of eating for me, so I would just the hmm i've only got x calories left for today, what shall I spend it on? And I knew that a piece of fruit would fill me up much more than 1.5 pieces of chocolate so suddenly it was a much easier decision.

AFM - arrrgh my hips have flared up a bit (had SPD last PG ending on crutches) so off to my osteo this arvo. And I think it'll have to be a no exercise day here. Desperately hoping i can still keep going with this, and more than a bit annoyed at myself cos I overdid it lifting something too heavy the other week . My mum is also coming to visit, so I'm hoping I can keep this healthy thing going (would love to look like I just eat this well all the time tehehe). (am still weighing .5kg less than Monday... am wondering if Monday was one of those weirdly aberrant fat days mwahaha).

Welcome KM!!!!! If your interested we can start doing some walking together!!! I can drive to your place ro something and we can go from there.. mondays are good for me coz DS is in care, so we can take a long walk with the prams and the bubs- what do you reckon?????????????????????

I have just joined fitpal thingy- are you guys all on it?? Do you want to be my "friends" on there?? Then we can follow eachother there too!!

Girls, im having a scales delema... according to the wii yesterday i was 78, but according to my scales i was 81.... so i dont know which to follow- (i'd rather go the wii) but it hink my digital scales are more accurate.. so far i have been using the wii numbers- but i think i will switch to the scales.. so i will have to add a gain to my original weight and everything... what a bugger :-(

Starbright- you just reminded me that i had to do the same thing! I chucked my scales and got new ones and had wear an increase in weight according to them! I would be tempted to just stick to the wii too, LOL. I will have a look and see if i can be friends on myfitnesspal, i didn't even realise you could! I have to say i have been really crap at using it!

Belfie- Ouch! Definitiely relax for the day and weekend if possible! Hope your osteo can give you some relief! And yep, i have those strange really fat days too, who knows what that is all about!

Hi KM! Welcome to the challenge- i have to agree with the others, i think your food plan looks good, but you need to eat a bit more food. It will help you stick too it, and it won't mess with your metabolism. Could you add in something like a fat free/low sugar yoghurt as a snack somewhere, maybe some nuts or rice crackers as well and a wholemeal english muffin to your breakfast? Its really important to look at drinks as well, anything with sugar in it like juice, cordial or softdrinks will be a killer! Are you breastfeeding? If so, then you are going to need even more food! I am loving your exercise plan, it is very similar to mine, except i can't walk to the gym so I try and do 1-200 sit-ups a day as well.

Well, i am now have 10ks on the bike and 2.5ks walking I am exactly half way there now! I managed it in about 50 mins too so got in a few weight machines too! Hooray...

Kat that sounds like a GREAT idea!! I'm going away on the 27th and coming back the 1st so we can start after that if you like? I may have another walking buddy a friend of mine who lives near me is wanting to get back into shape after having her second bub.

Yes i will add more snacks into my diet as i know i will be starving!!

I am feeling very confident that i will do this

Yes hun you WILL do this.
And on the snack side of things once Dd is eating a bit more i find that snacjking when my girls snack works well, they eat fruit i eat fruit, they have crackers i have crackers.. i don't feed my girls crap food so why shiould i.
We just don't buy it anymore.. but in saying that if i feel like chocolate i don't mind having it.. i make the decision to eat it, i don't regret it and i know i will work it off with a walk or a go on the bike

3kms down lol 37km's to go !!!!!! It has been a while since i got on the bike!! It took me nearly 7 minutes to get there!!!! I might have to up it abit and do some more later today!!!

KM.. that sounds great!! I usually drop DS off at day care at about 9:30- is that too early if i come after that so it will be about 10am??? So the first one will be the 7th!! I reckon it will be great for us- we wont want to let the other person down by not showing- and if we dont get all our other excercise done- we can feel ok knowing we are at least doing this once a week!!!!!

Lol, thanks Leesa, thanks for checking in on us! Oh and congrats on your pregnancy too!

I just finished a walk, 4.26kms. So adding that to my 7.41km walk and TADA!! Clocked the 10kms!

BUT, got on the scales this morning for a sneaky look and still no change. So I'm giving myself a challenge.

I MUST do the big 7km walk twice a week. And on top of my daily 4km normal walk, I will do an additional 2kms at night, once DD goes to bed, no matter how tired I am, and I will take my dogs. Starting today. The only night I can't do it is Mondays when DH is out, I can't walk the dogs and push the pram, one of my dogs isn't that cooperative.

I'm doing the 7km one again on Sunday but going to do the extra 2km tonight. Can someone kick my butt please if I don't?

Kat- the 7th sounds perfect!!! i cant wait!!

I was meant to go for a walk this morning with my friend but i havent heard from her and now its really warmed up so i might have a walk this evening just me and DD.

With my eating i think i am doing reasonably well. I had a chat with my FIL and he says i eat really well but he also says i need to snack more to keep my energy levels up.
