DH and I took DD and our dogs for a walk yest in the bush. We haven't been since DD was born so the dogs loved it and I loved it. Took bub in the carrier which worked well, but has inspired me to get a new one. I've wanted an Ergo forever so just gonna order it. Was great to get out and smell the fresh air. With all the rain there is so much growth. If you don't look up you can't even tell it was decimated in the bush fires.

My weight loss has been slow but steady so i am still happy with it, and haven't gained any over Chrissie so that is nice.

    Merry Christmas everyone!!!

Have a fantastic holiday we are away from Christmas day on holiday so I am going to do my best not to gain 3kgs like last time!

I don't think I am going to make my goal by tomorrow, fingers still crossed though, only made it to the gym once this week and had maccas twice! Have been super good all other times though, so still some hope. About to go to the shops with DF now so highly likely it won't end well!

Hi guys, how was everyone's Christmas?? We had a fantastic day and am now on holidays

Enjoying some time in the sun, trying to fit in some type of exercise each day and sticking to much smaller meals with lots of small treats. Tomorrow I am going kayaking on the lake as my exercise, really looking forward to it as I used to do it competitively as a kid when we lived in the US. I managed to get myself massively burnt the first day of hols though, so will be making sure to keep myself well covered up!

Hope you guys are all well!

oh my gosh, i feel like i've stacked on about 10kg over the weekend I didn't really eat that much stuff, it was only us so we didn't have nibblies, BUT I did make chocolate mousse for xmas day dessert, which made enough to almost fill 5 wine glasses...and DF had a little bit for dessert, but it seems it is now my mission to finish it..I know, I know, it's called resisting the call of the chocolate, but i think i would be heartbroken if I ended up throwing it all out
My tummy seems to have expanded wayyyy out..Df has been coming on my morning walk too, which means I don't walk as far or as fast as I normally would. Did get back into the exercise vids today though, and am trying to remember to do some sit ups sometime during the day. I think I've just gone two steps forward and now ten steps back. stupid christmas, getting in the way of my good intentions!

Oh I hear you on that!! It's like, well, I've gone to all this effort, it'd be a waste to throw it away....hence me eating the last of the pavlova last night

I never ate so much that I felt bloated or full, so I guess that was a good thing. Going to get back into it over the next day or two. DH is home at the moment for a few days so trying to get him motivated too, but we're finding it much too fun to play call of duty into the wee hours of the morning. Hmmmm, bad pattern starting here

I've managed to only gain about a kilo - usually 2-3 at Christmas and Easter so I am pretty ok with it.

Back to work today, Bo rest for the wicked lol

Woohooo everyone, it's great to hear how well you are all doing!

Good stuff Ginger on drawing a line hope the weigh in is better than expected!

ZF, that is such fantastic news about your shopping! You are absolutely flying through this weight-loss!

Not doing much exercise here, other than some swimming and walking around a fair bit, going to town with food too, DF has been making all of our meals and I have been stuffing myself! Hopefully I can reign it in tomorrow a bit! Saw an interesting show on sbs last night called diary of food obsessives, I empathized a lot with the binge eater, particularly the eating in the car and hiding the evidence... I also decided that I need to slow down when eating and pay attention to the full signals, as I have ignored them for so long I wouldn't know what they are anymore!

So, where is Raupe? She has not been in in ages! Might have to go stalking

No stalking necessary, Appletree! Here I am finally!

Soooo.... sorry I've been MIA lately. I work as a catering assistant so you can imagine how busy I was over the Christmas period. I haven't had a day off in about three weeks and by the time I get home I'm too tired to get online. So again, I'm sorry for not being here to support everyone! I had to catch up on some reading (insert redface here) and I'm glad to see that everyone is still putting in lots of effort!

My eating has been crappy lately to say the least. Also, due to my constant work I haven't really exercised, either. And don't get me started on Christmas food... oooohhhh the fudge and ****tails...nom nom... *drool*. I am very happy to say that my body is not used to this food anymore and it does show. The one day I had lots of sugary food I had the WORST headache of my life and was extremely nauseous and light sensitive. I think I gave myself my first ever migraine by consuming too much sugar... Also, I have the worst break outs at the moment. Yes, it totally sucked to feel so crap, but I am TRULY happy that my body reacts to crap food like this. That shows that I am on the right track.

On another note, I went to the doctors today and as a routine thing had my blood pressure done. It was (in my doctor's words) PERFECT! Then she asked me if I'd lost weight (well, I've seen her a year ago last). And I was happy to say that I lost over 17kg. She was soooo happy to hear that! She seemed so thrilled for me, it really cheered me up. So she asked me to hop on the scales *totally scared Raupe hops on the scales dreading what damage she has done over Christmas* And the doctor announced 90kg! Yeah, baby! I didn't put on anything!!! Wooohooo!!

I really have to jump back on the band wagon, though. My mum is coming over from Germany in January to visit me and I am scared! Last time she saw me all she talked about was how much i have put on *rolls eyes*. When she last saw me I was around 98kg. So only 8kg heavier than I am now. She knows I have lost 17kg, but I failed to mention to her that I had put on another 10kg after I'd last seen her. So she thinks I'm almost in my 70's , where really I'm still 90kg. So, yeah. I'm scared what she will say when she sees me next. I guess I have to try extra hard to lose a bit more before she gets here....

So who is weighing in tomorrow?? If you want to pm me I will do this weeks update.

I really REALLY don't want to weigh in, just took a look at the scales and it was not pretty at all! But I will so I know where I am at and how hard I have to work. This mornings check showed I had gained 1 1/2kgs, but tonight it has gone up to 2 1/2kgs! Yikes.. I did go to the movies today and had popcorn and a frozen coke! Maccas on the way home from holidays too! Plus a million other high calorie treats over the last week or do.

Straight to the gym in the morning I think!

I still have no batteries for my scales, so am not weighing in tomorrow. Going to give myself a week to kickstart again anyway after Christmas, I know for certain I have put on some weight. Only question is, how much?

weighed in this morning (before breakfast, after going to the loo, so I knew there was nothing inside me..lol). Apparently I've lost 1.4kg..which could be true, but I was feeling like an elephant after christmas!

Bought some new shorts from Target the other day and they are already starting to feel a bit loose..which is good, but I don't think I'd fit into a size down. shame they don't make in between sizes. haven't been doing many exercise vids lately, but mowed the back lawn last week and will do the front this week sometime. Have been going for a walk every morning and DF hasn't been coming so I can go for longer. Been quite warm too so I've really been able to sweat it up. Think I have just eaten the last of the naughty foods leftover from xmas so back on the healthy eating bandwagon

Oh man, didn't so much fall of the wagon today, more jumped off, lay down in front and let it roll heavily over top of me! Yikes, don't even want to think about how many calories I consumed, but there was macadamia nut chocolate involved, hokkien noodles for lunch at the shops, multiple icecreams and a hawaiian pizza! I feel so incredibly sick! It was bad bad bad. And still no exercise this week as the gym crèche is closed.

Nothing but soup and salad for me for the rest of the week!

    Hi Ladies!

Thought I would pop in here, as per ZF's hospitality Gotta be quick as DH is showering DS and I'll need to get him out in a tic

Getting on the healthy living band wagon, wanna shed some kg's because I'm sick of everything jiggling and I wanna wear a bikini to the beach and shorty shorts to the shops XD

I don't have scales, but I'd rather go with cm measurements anyway... which are:

    Thigh: 61cm
    Hips: 107cm
    Waist: 87cm
    Bust:95cm
    Upper arm: 38.5

I'll measure each Tuesday and post an update!

Hoping to leach inspiration and encouragement from you ladies and gents, wish me luck! xx

I'm back after weeks and weeks of not weighing in and very little exercise. I'm pleased to say I haven't regained all I'd lost either so that's a little yay, I guess. Lol.

I'm going to try harder to keep up and all that jazz too. I don't think I'll weigh in next monday, since I will be back on track properly starting then.

Big massive hugs all round and I hope you all have a great new year. (sorry it's late.)

Jewel, well done on maintaining your weightless! That is excellent work!

Welcome Helle- i track cm's too

Well, i am now officially dreading tomorrow! Have not been to the gym once this week as the creche was closed, did a few walks though and might do a zumba dvd now that i am on my own and DS is asleep. We went house hunting yesterday, i decided it would be a good change to move closer to the city, so we were looking around the balmain, drummoyne, lilyfield, rozelle area which is also where the Adriano Zumbo patisserie is (the guy from masterchef who did all of the delicious desserts) and i of course picked the biggest, most fattening thing in the shop! I had the ultimate brownie, as well as a couple of macaroons which were AMAZING! I should have just stuck with the macaroons, the brownie was kind of sloppy like it hadn't been cooked and was not worth the calories at all... Ok, had better go and do some exercise!

For the next two weeks i am going to be doing the special K challenge if anyone else wants to join in? If you check out the special K website it has the details and you get a full eating plan with recipes. Looks good so i am going to do a shopping list and get everything this afternoon. I am going to cut down the variety of the lunches as i want to make it something i can maintain when i go back to work next month.
