Well I am back into training and feeling more confident that I can reach my goals. I went back to my GP yesterday to vent my frustrations at how I am struggling to loose kgs (bearing in mind I had been on a 12 month plateu before now, and no matter what I did I couldnt stop yoyoing up and down a couple of kgs), and between us we have decided that now I have a better attitude to food, and am doing substantial regular excercise that it was time to try something else. So I have started on reductil, it has taken me a long time and a lot of research to decide to go down the diet pill route, so please no negative comments, I NEED to do this. I feel really confident now that by the end of this year I will be at least aother 15-20kgs lighter.

    Thanks girls

Will PM measurements through andhey maybe we can keep going with a thread about this..life after the challenge lol

Ali - I hear you....Ive been in the same boat and I dont know why but this is workignfor me. Can I ask you what reductil is? Ive been on duromine in the past and hated it...it gave me the worst mood swings and i never lost any weight on it.

I had to laugh yesterday. Ive been buying ultraslim premade shakes at coles for the last few weeks andthoguht..woo hoo how cheap $2.99 fora six pack so have been buying up. GEt there yesterday and quiet obviously who ever has been stocking the shelves in the past stuffed up...its ment to be $2.99 for ONE drink not 6...hahahhahaha

Maz- Congrats on starting your weight loss journey, dont yia think it is kinda liberating to admit to yourself that you need to loose weight, and then do something about it. For the first time ever I am not daunted or depressed about the amount of weight I have to loose, I am excited that I have finally made a whole hearted commitment to do something about it.
As for reductil it is an appetite suppresent, in that it allows you to feel fuller quicker, thus reducing your food intake. It also works to keep your metabolic rate up as you loose weight. It does have some side affects (none of which I have experienced yet) but from everything I have read, they are no where near as severe as duromine. I am hoping for me it will allow me to a) stop obsessing about food, b) get my calorie controlled eating habits going and regular and c) help me to maintain a weight loosing metabolic rate, as this is where I usually fall down.

ALi I couldnt have wirtten you rfirst paqragraph any better myself. I think you just need to find that light bulb moment that allows you to go, thats it..no more fat suit!

Now im peeved at my doctor...ive gone to him in the past for help about my obesity and he offered duromine of a gastric band (no yet thanks). I declinded both and said ive gotta try this the natural way first. Im going to research abit on this reductil......i might end up getting somehelp then when I think Im platoing. And ALi its better to ask for help rather then try and try and get no were

Girls, if anyone has weights and measures to send me, please do so asap!

I have Amanda's and Maz I got yours too......

    Anyone else?

AND DON'T FORGET, MARCH 25TH IS THE FINAL OFFICIAL DAY OF THIS CHALLENGE!

So, everyone who wants to be counted, good bad or ugly, lol, you will need to do a weigh and measure on Weds 25th March and PM mw with your stats.

I will then do a final results post, and then you will be left to your own devices, with an ongoing chatter thread to keep you motivated!

I feel like I've been gone forever off this thread - had a few bad weeks, just generally not looking after myself.

I severly bruised one of my toes a couple of weeks ago and had no hope of getting a shoe on that foot, so abandoned exercise, but that's all fixed and I'm back into it.

Gave myself a pep talk and have climbed back on the wagon.

Glad it was dark this morning when I went for my walk - I somehow managed to jog - not far - but I jogged. Couldn't have looked very pretty, and I felt like my lungs and heart were tearing apart, but it's all downhill from here. Maybe tomorrow I can jog just that little bit further.

Jumped on the scales after my shower and I'm back to my lowest weight that I have been in this challenge, so now my goals are back in focus.

I CAN DO THIS. I CAN DO THIS.. (I have a bridesmaid dress to fit into) I CAN DO THIS.

Afternoon ladies, im a bit of a newbie on here been poking around as my doctor suggested i lose some weight, it may make the whole TTC process a little easier. So i think im in the right place, if not please point me in the right direction !! Ideally i'd love to lose 40-50kg but really have no idea where to start!! I know everyone says eat healthy and exercise...i guess i just need snack options for work and stuff that arent terribly bad for me!! I have 2 dogs so me and DP walk them as often as we can, usually for about an hour or so!! By the sounds of things ladies you're all doing so well! Congrats! Hopefully i'll be on the wagon soon hehe

Oh no! I think ive hit the plateau! Motivate me!
I keep bouncing between 6 and 7kg for the last week though I have started measuring myself and have found taht ive lost cm's already.

My motivation atm is to fit into a scrummy brown dress that I want to wear to the BB meet up in Melbourne this June. bring it on I say.

I tried on a pair of my jeans that Ih ad really bad muffin top and camle toe in, that I also couldnt do up...they fit like a glove now and their a 20!!!! yay!!!

I walked into town today also...4km there and 4km's back. I thought Id be knacked by it but surprisingly I feel fantastic.

Gotta stay positive and keep thinking healthy thoughts. I toldf Jed last night its even harder for me (he's doing it too) cause I have to make the kids meals which is so easy to pick at but no..Im standing strong. I havent gotten this far for nothing!

I've been going good, just plodding along, still eating right and getting some exercise. It's heaps better now DH has been to the Drs today and was told that if he doesn't do something he will end up with Type 2 diabetes, so has to lose some weigh.

Hi everyone. Its been a while since I have been here as I have been on holidays for three weeks. Lost 0.5kg over that time so I am happy as had sooo much bad food to pick at during that time. But kept up the jogging which has obviously helped. No soccer this week which is a downer - extra jogs to make up for it - boring!
But in all I have lost 6.5kgs which is almost 8% of my original weight so I am happy with that. Especially as I still feel really motivated and feel so much healthier at the moment then I did 3 months ago. Dont expect the rest of come off quickly but I have some exercise goals in mind which should help keep up my motivation.
I think my main reason for feeling so proud of myself is that I am actually still here. I half expected to slink away halfway through but I didnt. Woo hoo!
And yay to everyone else. We are all awesome. Good going girls.

Me, not so great but I may have found a new burst of energy. Hopefully this one is here to stay. I haven't put any weight on, but haven't lost any either. Haven't been eating great, and no exercise either....I just have no time! But I need to make it and make myself do it!!
You girls are great motivation too! Good job everyone

I just hopped on the scales and I have lost 1 kg...........woohoo, it is my biggest lose in one go for ages and ages- my cms and still melting away so I am feeling really excited and motivated. I have decided I am not going to buy any new winter clothes until I am at least 1 clothing size smaller.

Good to see that people are still feeling driven and motivated, I think this is the longest time I have ever stuck to loosing weight and improving my health in one go.

I've lost the motivation to exersize!

But somehow, no idea how (spesh since AF turned up today), I've lost 1kg this week! I was only hoping I lost 400g, 700g would have been awesome (400g would have brought me in to the next kg bracket, 700g would have been a total of 5kg loss so far...)

My sister is doing Weight Watchers too, and she's reached her goal, and DH says I'll be as skinny as her soon ! Thats a good motivator, but she's still 16kg lighter than me. I don't want to be that weight, I think I'd look odd, even though it's in the BMI bracket for my height.

I've been trying to get my dh to eat better, hopefully follow the WW points deal, but he eats the WW dinner I cook and then what ever he wants. Thats ok. I don't mind. If he doesn't want to follow it, that's up to him. However, he had take away food the other day for lunch and he felt ILL! All that oil and fat, I can imagine! He'll think before he eats now!

    Keep up the good work!
