Great post Ali. That makes a lot of sense to me. This has been my most successful endeavour to lose weight and although my weight isn't coming off quickly I can sense that I have made a long-term change. Although my eating is a bit up and down my exercise is right on target and I am actually really enjoying it and can't believe I feel like an active person again.

Maybe because we are a bit into it we can all post what changes we have made that we think have been really successful as a motivation to everyone else?

I think I have been successful this time because I have integrated my core exercise into different parts of my life (eg. riding to work, getting in to a team sport) and then started complementary exercise (eg. jog once a week, stretching in front of the tv) that helps how I feel in my core exercise. I am also doing a few different types of exercise which is helping to prevent boredom (which I am prone to). Most of my exercise has been outside which helps me de-stress and cope with the rest of my life. I am also planning to take up a pilates/yoga class which I am going to use as a reward if I reach my weight loss target in two weeks because I love yoga and pilates but it isn't cheap so want to prove to myself I can and will do it.
