Lucy I'm another one that cried watching the biggest loser.

Hoody I made that not potato that you put up the other week and all I can say is yummmmy.

I've had a bad day, had a late breakfast and then no lunch and late dinner. But I did go for a walk so am happy with that, really hoping that I lose something this week otherwise I'm going to be very disappointed.

    hugs xoxo

    Hi all,

    Everyone is going so well!

I went out on Saturday night and drank too much (again ) and was craving a meat pie after that so I indulged a little!! Went for a big walk yesterday but I think I have pulled my hamstring so I have to slow down a bit.

I have a resistance training band which I could use - does anyone else do this? What are some good exercises?

I have my gym gear packed and am going to the gym either at lunchtime or late afternoon!

I have an incredible life at the moment and my fantastic body is just a small part of that

Amy, ah well, one meat pie isn't going to hurt too much! I bet it was good. I haven't had one in years. Love the taste of them! Everyone is doing well except me! HAHAHA, I've been drinking too much myself, not getting drunk, just having two glasses instead of one every night!

I guess that's a bonus to not being a big drinker, don't have to worry about the calories. Though I do look forward to being able to have a more than a sip without planning feed times.

Don't know how you girls are coping in the heat wave, it's been really muggy here and it's horrible. Laranna you did well doing some gardening in it, I was inside struggling to get the ironing done

Yay, my cross trainer arrives today, can't wait!

I was going to ask how people are going in the heatwave. I have adoped a "grin and bear it" attitude and I've been continuing my walks regardless. I find that I sweat a lot more but that isn't so bad because when I'm jogging it actually keeps me semi-cool. The only downfall is by the time I'm an hour into my walk my bottle of water is warm - bleh.

I don't leave the house until about 8ish and by the time I get home it's just on nightfall. It's still really hot but without the blistering sun it is bearable.

Captain - yeah the weather's been yuk here, but I did the gardening at 7:30pm (yay for daylight saving) and it wasn't tooo bad, much better than the middle of the day. You'll LOVE the cross trainer! I have one and it's great, easy to use, low impact and you can get a really good workout all over.

I'm about to head out for a walk before it gets too hot (38 degrees today!), need to return some books to the library.

I have been walking first thing, at about 6am. And on Mondays and Weds my training is mostly in airconditioning......but it is hard........having done 12 months of exercise, I reckon winter is heaps easier, even the rain is better than the heat, for me.

Yes its a bit quiet in here again. i have tried posting 2-3 times this weekend but my posts disappear when i try to post them iykwim. My computer is also running slow so it makes it harder too iykwim.

I am still doing really well with the eating and just so so with the exercising but i am feeling really good and so many ppl are commenting on my shrinking middle lol. I tend to carry weight around my middle and had a pretty nasty muffin top but its shrunk SO much already.

AmandaJ- glad you enjoyed the "notatoes" its become a favourite of mine just wish DH felt the same.

I too missed Biggest Loser but i will be watching it from now on i find it very inspirational and cant wait to follow their journey whilst i'm on my own.

That's great Amy! It's always the best feeling when other people start to notice. It becomes more real then! Good work

I only managed a 40 minute walk this morning, coz it was raining. I wasn't satisfied when I got home, so I'll be going again this afternoon!

WTG Amy! My sister called me yesterday, after just having been at a market with her for 4 hours, and told me I looked like I was losing weight and looked good, but it sounded a little forced (like mum had told her to say it), but nonetheless, it was said! I love it when ppl I haven't seen for ages say it! But then I wonder, just how big was I?

I can notice now when I lie on my side, that there is a "valley"(for lack of a better word right now) at my waist, where before it wasn't. iykwim. Also I'm losing the muffin top! It's still there, but not as prominent! YAY!

Still, I need a way to curb the sweets

Oh me too! I am usually a bit of a TV snob, LOL, and don't watch much Channel 10, but I remember through last years Biggest Loser how I had just started my journey, and they really kept me motivated!

Good work Amy, that is a great compliment! I hope it has really made your day hun

Rhianon, well done on the 40 minute walk. I hope you were able to get one in this afternoon too!

I had a good day, had barramundi and noodle salad for lunch as DP and I took his niece out to lunch for her 18th birthday. I felt good that the barra was grilled. Got home and went for a jog/walk. In the rain! It was pouring but the rain on my face and my clothes saturated made me feel so alive. I forgot how wonderful nature really was.

I watched BL today for inspiration - it sure as hell worked. Made me realise that my measly 13 odd kilos are nothing to be beated by. Those people are really hutsy to face up to such huge weight loss hurdles

I went for the first of m,y couch to 5km runs today - OMG it is so much worse than Contours, even when I push myself I don't hurt so bad afterwards LOL!!
