I've been planning to start this for aaaaaaaages! The FS telling me I need to lose 15kg has jump started my motivation give this a go. I did some interval training a few years ago with a PT and loved it! The biggest thing that has been holding me back is I'm a bit embarrassed to have people see my run cause I'm not exactly a small girl and have a bad habit of worrying about what other people think of me. Might have to make tomorrow day 1, start doing instead of thinking about doing.

Welcome Miss Dee! Good luck with tomorrow. I'm sure you will feel great for starting your journey to a healthier you.

How did everyone else go today? I did my personal best as far as distance goes today. But I did sway a little from the program. I ran longer (on occasions) than I was supposed to but did miss a couple of the run intervals. It was so windy out there today, pushing the pram with the sun cover on it was not assisting haha. I have noticed that I feel less like eating bad foods when I exercise. Thinking about going again tomorrow afternoon. I need to do week 2 again before I start week 3!

Is it too late to join?
I did C25K a few months ago and got up to week 5 before life got in the way .
So I decided to start over. I did Session 1 Week 1 today and feel great!

Please keep me motivated so I can see it through till the end this time!

I went yesterday - day 2 of week 2. It was really stormy looking when I left but I went anyway- had to cut the cool down walk short though because it was starting to blow and looking very omnious (had an inch of rain). I must admit, it does seem to be getting easier - still hurts alot, but now I am running 1.5 mins at a time, when last week 1 min seemed near impossible. It's only taking me a very short time to recover at the end so I think it is working.

Welcome to all the newbies - I can't believe how great I feel after doing it.

Awesome ausgirl. When you could have said no, you got out there and did what you could Lapping those that sat on the couch!

This week I have done 19.81kms since Sunday. Planning on going today but may have to hit the gym as it is rainy I love the mental affect running outdoors has on me. I decided yesterday morning that I would do the couch 2 5k ap. I think I just want to get to 5k then I'll tackle the 10k. more of a sense of achievement that way. So yesterday I did wk1 day 1 and it felt really good. Sometimes I get so focused that I forget I have to turn around and get home hahaa.

Thanks for this group, it has given me motivation.

Done week one day two yesterday, its been hard to find the time to go this week. It was great, although I nearly toppled over my dog who decided we were playing when I started my 2nd run haha. It felt really good, I really pushed myself with the last two run sets & felt like I was going to die lol.

I cant remember who asked about diet, but I am watching what I eat too. I ate too many carbs though yesterday, but I'm breastfeeding so I figure it'll burn out there lol. Especially after the night DS had last night >.<

    Welcome to the newbies!

Completed week 1.2 yesterday! Yaay!! Go me lol!
I got home from work 8.30pm, got into my running gear and went straight for my run! Dp was a bit concerned, because it was dark outside . Such a worry wart. (I told him he could come along, but apparently it was more important to stay home and protect the couch from intruders! ). I told him I'd be back in 30 min.... only I got tragically lost (we've just moved to this area), so after I finished my run, I had to run all the way home, so I'd be home within that 30 min and SOMEONE wouldn't get worried... . Ahhh well, extra exercise for me, I guess!

Well done being able to run all that way - I don't think you need to do this program haha.

Oh MY KNEES! I missed day 3 of week 2 so sstarted day 1 week 3 today. On friday when I went my knees were a bit sore, and over the weekend just walking was a bit sore. Today, trying to run was very painful! I don't know what to do, but I couldn't complete the full running time as it just hurt too much, they are still store now - particularly the left one which I've had pain with before (sitting cross legged with the kids mainly).
I don't know, but I'm not going to make 9 weeks of this if my knees stay the same....

It was only a 5 min run back home... and I did it in intervals One minute running , one minute walking etc! Otherwise it would've taken me 15 min to get home... But I couldn't run the whole way!!

Ohh noo!! Go to the doctors... It could be an inflammation of the joints. I had the same in my feet last year. Or maybe something else.... Better to get it checked out before it gets worse!! Take care of yourself.

AFM did the week 1.3 run yesterday WITHOUT getting lost! I'm so talented! But I did get stitches (is that what it's called?) in my side towards the end... Maybe it could have had something to do with the fact that I've only slept 3 hours in the last 50 hours and was totally exhausted before the run...

Hmm, knees have been really painful all day - stairs are killing me, didn't even go for a walk today....I don't think I can keep this up. Might go to the doctor if it doesn't improve soon.

    Welcome Lulliloo!

Ausgirl: How are your knees going?

AFM finished my first week! Did my first run for week 2 yesterday and even had energy to run a bit more after .

Anyhoo, I was just wondering how everyone manages to exercise in the hot weather? I almost MELTED yesterday. I try to run after the sun has set, so I don't pass out, but I hate running in the dark, because I don't want to run into spiderwebs (or spiders for that matter) *shudder*. So how do you do it? I'd like to run early in the day, but some days I have to leave to go to work around 4.30 am when the sun isn't even up. So I try to run just after the sun has set, but before it gets dark at night . Sometimes not even that is possible, because some days I'm not home until 8.30 at night. Gaahhhh I HATE SUMMER!!

Nah, no good - I'm out which really sucks big time, so wanted to acheive this. Knees still sore, only been for tiny walks but knees are still acting up - hmmm.

Well done on starting week 2 Raupe.
