Belfie a weight of 69kilos for me gives me a BMI of 22. As of this morning my waist is 80cm (it was 79cm when I got measured for a bridesmaid dress last week) bust 95cm, hips 105 and thigh 63cm. My arms are 32cm. I really want to lose some weight from the thighs and arms especially. I'm an odd shape. Trim from the belly button upwards except the arms. I've lost 12kilos and only 1cm from my arms but 11cm from my waist. I just went for a walk/run came home exhausted after only 15mins then proceeded to rake the backyard and then mow it then chop 2days worth of fire wood. Burnt 519calories so I am stoked with that. This 12WBT recommends 500cals burnt daily 5days in the week, a day of rest and one power day of 1000cals burnt. Today is the first day I've done 500 all at once. Its always been in 2-3 increments as I'm so unfit. Yeah me!

THAts awesome on your sneakie weigh in. Your so close to your goal. That must be an incredible feeling.

Wow Mildez - that is an amazing amount of calories to burn. I think I've done a huge effort if I burn 500... much less 1000! Wow, how would you burn so much? Re the measurements, it's really interesting to see the differences I think. I'm quite a different shape and tend to be very top heavy, straight waist but with straightish hips & small(er) thighs - oh and I'm a shorty too, just 5'2". My measurements are bust 93cm, hips 90cm (top-heavy much!?), waist 82cm. I just measured my arms & legs cos I haven't done that before. I think my arms are 28cm and thighs are 48cm. I've lost 43cm off my measurements so far. 13cm off boobs, 19cm off waist (you can see how big my gut was!) and 11cm off my hips. I found that my problem areas had a really funny pattern of reducing. They'd stay the same for a bit... then suddenly drop a cm every week for maybe a month, then stay the same again for a bit. So hopefully your arms & thighs will start moving soon too I think you're doing such an amazing effort, well done.

AFM poor night tonight. I went to the osteo for a much needed tune-up, and the I cricked my back carrying my darling fatso daughter (probably that & a combination of post-treatment soreness) and have been sitting around with a heat pack. I was meant to be at zumba! wa! So i'm attempting to resist the urge to eat crap, as I was having a "hungry" day anyway! Arrgh.

Leesa - thanks for the info re eating, it's good to know. I think i'm not all that scientific about it all (still haven't found my HRM) but hey, the weight is coming off & i feel good so I guess that's all that matters

    hi all!

sorry, have been a bit away with the fairies... thank you for the birthday wishes! and lol belfie with your HRM, the ongoing saga!

okay.. am kind of hiding under the table metaphorically when i say this... i had two pieces of ginger crunch and a shortbread biscuit today... so bad! ginger crunch is my fav thing in the world to make! and told myself was testing the shortbread to make sure was okay... noooo! and then can't be arsed doing any exercise this evening! have trying to tell myslef to give myself a break today as have been so good up til now with almost no lapses and i cleaned the house within an inch of it's life today for gran and her husband as they were coming for dinner (hence also having full tins of baking). and made focaccia by hand (with all three rounds of kneading). does anyone want to say that this counts lol? cos am really not sure but just am trying to make myself feel better by saying it does lol. should have/could have resisted that ginger crunch. can't believe was so weak!

but did get told last week that i was skinny and didn't need to loose any weight let alone 10kg, which was nice (although this person has never seen me in a bikini, they may have held their tongue otherwise!). but still... BAD BAD BAD LIVIA!

hi to everyone, hope you've all been busy loosing those kilos

OMG I am so freakin' excited. Lost another 0.6kg this week.

I am ... get this.... 0.4kg from my goal! Also dropped 1cm from boobs, waist & hips.

And yeah, I was worrying about I wouldn't like my figure. But was checking myself out the mirror. Naw. I'm hot. And I am so excited. And so happy. I actually feel like crying right now I am so stoked & happy. Trust me guys, the reward for losing the weight is just the best feeling ever. I've got "me" back again. HELL YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sterla - are you weighing today?

Livvy - woo hoo hun, well done for doing some work! How is today looking?

Hey all!! Sorry I have been MIA!!!

Belfie!!! WOW!!!! YOU go girl!!! I am so proud of you and so in awe!!! Well done!!! I would love to see some before and after pics!!!! :-)

Livvy.... *slap* ther you go- you have been punished!!! Hop back on the wagon!!! It must have felt great to be told you look good and skinny!!!!! I have vauge hazy memories of a time i was told i was TOO SKINNY!!!! LoL!!! I will be there again!! (well maybe not TOO SKINNY, but not large would be great!!!) I think its ok to re-adjust your final goal.. If you feel good and look good and are healthy, then there is no reason to be super skinny!! See how you feel and what works for you- maybe now you can concentrate on toning your body or something!! :-)

MIldez .. WOW 1000cals in on day!!! Even 500 sounds like a lot to ask everyday!! I am happy if I do 200-300 on the bike (thats between half an hour and a hour) and then my extra of the dance workout (around 200cal)- but usually i dont have the time to do both.... so if i manage the excercise vid- i only get the 200 cal on the bike. For me its not to so much the fitness, physically I can do it, its time management and child entertaining!!!! They love to climb on the bike with me and climb on the wii fit board(or me) in the middle of an excercise!! Good luck with it, and dont wear yourself out too much!!!! :-)

Leesa.. I reckon the "eating" back thing was a bit my problem.. i was hungry and I wasnt eating back!!! I wasnt snacking alot, just trying to stick to my meals. Which were healthy enough (for me!!) but over the last two weeks I have been having a museli bar in the morning between breakfast and lunch and another one in the afternoon. I am feeling less hungry and feeling better. I havent been doing the CK - this is the second week they recomnend not counting... but I would say I am having a slightly higher calorie intake than i was.

And this week I have been a bit slack on the excercise!! DH has been home- he has taken some time off work to look for another job closer to home, so I have been busy doing stuff for him like resume's etc and actaully getting out of the house daily :0!!!!!! A new thing for me!!! (one of the reasons he is looking for work thats not one and half hours drive away!! I can take him to work and have the car occassionally and maybe some kind of a life!!!!) I have managed half an hour here and there on the bike- but not my triple whammie of toning, cardio and bike!! DH has chopped down another tree that needs carrying so I wil get in and do some of that today!! I want to get myself a HRM and a steppycounter thingy.. where would I get one from???? A sports store maybe??

I have done a few litte weighs.. i got as low as 80.8... then yesterday i was back up to 81.4. Not weighing today coz I am in heavy pj pants etc and its a bit too chilly to strip down lol!!! Also I want to put in a big effort today and tomorrow- and i will do my next weigh in on Monday!!

Anyway- eating has been good- i made another trip into canberra AND I DIDNT GO TO MACCAS!!!!! I am sooo proud!!!! I did eat cake though, but another BB member who is trying to maintain weight made it- so i am sure she made it with lite milk at least!! Well DD is grumbly so I best be off!!

Hi to everyone!! Happy excercising!!!!! Healthy eating!!!

Belfie I'm so excited for you. Congratulations. It must be the best feeling looking hot. Can't wait until I get there or closer anyway. Maybe I'm past looking hot PMSL. Woow on been so close to your goal. So what happens when you reach it? Did you set yourself a reward, can you ease up at all to maintain or will you gain again? Its funny how we all come in such different shapes and sizes hey? I guess we would be very boring if we were all the same. Oh I would love to have small thighs. I don't think that will ever happen. The thinner I get the thinner my waist and chest will get and then I'd just look silly. Bust is 95cm but thats BF with a bra on so once I wean my chest will be very scrauny (and I do have decent size boobs) I think I'll set some new goals. Hopefully I can get my arms to under 30cm (they currently look fatty still) thighs under 60cm and hips 100cm or smaller. Mmmm don't know if that will happen.

Livvy can you tell me more about this holding a plank thing? How can I do that? I mean what do I need? Is it to help with strength and abdo? I am in real need of ideas for those areas. Cardio I'm all worked out but just need to figure out what to do for some strength. What a lovely comment to receive.

SB well done on resisting Macca's. Yes I honestly don't know how I could burn 1000cals in one day. With this program you suppose to do 1 session a week and then for another 5days just do 500cals burnt and 1day of rest. Its taking me approx 50mins to do 500cals and thats often not all at once. I'm doing 1hr of various things and averaging 550-600cals. On my bike I can do 300cals in 35minutes but I am so stuffed at the end of it.

Well today I'm of to a party with lovely food and I don't know how I am going to resist. Boo.

belfie - today have not done any exercise yet, but am going to meet a prospective employer this avo so will walk there (as is truly glorious day) and then do my intervals this later on today. but feeling *totally* energised compared to yesterday (was just exhausted mentally from whanau being here and also starting again on trying to get bub to not breastfeed through the night - involves a lot of sitting with him waiting and willing him to go to sleep...) as bub slept from 10.30pm to 5am (as did i!) so totally stoked. hoping that this is the beginning of not being sleep deprived! i don't think i've had a full night's sleep since he was born... almost 2 years ago... so very excited at the prospect of having a baby who sleeps!

mildez - i haven't looked at leesa's vid, but am sure that would tell you what to do. essentially is like holding a press up position, either with your arms straight or with your elbows directly below your shoulders on the ground and your knuckles together (like as if you were on a racing bike). main thing is to make sure your bum and hips are in line with the rest of your body (from the top of your head to your heels) to resemble a plank, not too high or too low. also a pilates trick is to imagine that your navel (and below down to your pubic bone) is being buttoned up like in really tight jeans - suck it in! that works your abs/obliques so not just the 6pack down the front bulking out but working the ones that act as a girde and wrap around your body. pilates is about toning and strengthening not loosing weight or building muscles up like a rugby player or body builder!

starbright - i think there is such a difference in how i look compared to how much i weigh now because i'm working out lol. i used to eat whatever and just stay slim, but had generous hips/bum/thighs always. i think i still need to loose the weight as am still pretty heavy for me, but am trimmer because of pilates (lengthens and strengthens) and intervals (aerobic and anaerobic parts). i still think i could do to loose the weight i still have on my hips/bum/thighs but am getting really close to one of my ultimate goals already - fitting my size11 jeans! have a pair of size10s from pre preg too but never thought that possible! so that might end up being my goal!

AFM - i went shopping today! yay found a pair of ashley fogel skinny jeans at the sallies, and they're size14 so am going to have them taken in for me (OMG! who would have thought *that* would happen! not me, that's for sure!). $220 jeans bought for $15 and they'll be another $15 to have them tailored to fit so $30 for $220 jeans! and they look *gorgeous*! i've never ever been able to wear skinnys before as i've always just looked like a lollipop - long legs, but big bum/hips/thighs at the top! yeyah!

lol mildez - i think you and i must be pretty similar shapes long and slim, but with "childbearing" hips in the middle

    - intervals
    - press ups
    - dips
    - planks

and then went out dancing! :P

am planning on doing a similar workout tonight, is the best time to do it i think - just before bed then can hop in the shower and go to sleep smug lol!

i do need to do a weigh in though... tomorrow i think. am a bit worried as diet has gone a bit out the window as i said in recent posts... nervous am going to see something i'd rather not...

    Woo hoo livvy, that's great!

Well i've done nothing today plus eaten more naughties than usual (too much socializing!) so I'm gunning for 500 cal on the bike tonight. Gunna gunna gunna do it!! & DH has just started again, weighed himself this morning... I have fingers crossed he'll work it out this time!! No more excuses & his key motivation word is discipline.

Me again... did my cycle, 67mins yeeha.

And now I feel silly saying it.... but...

    I'm changing my goal.

Both DH & I agree I don't need to lose much more, but 1kg more than my original goal wouldn't hurt, and honestly my tummy needs all the help it can get. And while I was going to have "birthday month" then revisit... I just wanna be done. I don't want to get out of loss mode just to have to get back into it. And I'm on a roll now, so really it's only another two weeks if I continue as i am. And while I have to get through DH's birthday (easy, given my ILs are away)... then final weigh-in date (17/9) is my DD's 1st b'day which ironically always my original goal (just my goal is now 3kg less than the very first goal I set). So um yeah I promise that's it though, I don't want to go below this new goal.

    Hey all... I am disapointed

No loss at all.. still 81.5!!!!! GGGRRRRRRR!!!! I think maybe eating more hasnt helped!! I just dont know!! I think maybe i need to rememeber that my meds effect my appetite and that maybe even though my tummy says I am hungry, I really dont need the food (taking steroids). Oh I dont know!!! Its quite unmotivating!!! And I REALLY want to get out of the 80's!!!! I am so friggin closE!!!!!! And as much as I want to do more excercise.. I really cant seem to find enough hours in the day to do it AND be a good mummy/house wife!!! Sorry having a real downer of a day today !!!

Belfie, YOU go for it babe.. do what feels right for you!! YOur goal was to look hot and enjoy yourself for the Birhdays and I think thats already gonna happen for you!!!! :-)

phew! no loss, but no gain have clambered back on to the wagon diet wise and been really good today. also helped that in a moment of weakness when i went to get a piece of ginger crunch i discovered that it was all gone lol so that was good. was still disappointed though! but yay, no temptation = no lardy arse right?

last night did intervals, sit ups and lotus arms. so all good. but rather tired tonight, so not sure how much i'll manage tonight. motivation is all i need!

Some of us are having a good week aren't we? Well weekend maybe. I gained a kilo. How disappointing. Livvy thats good to hear all the ginger stuff is gone. Helps stop temptation when there is none there.

Just thought I would thank Ladybird11 for her utube link ages ago on the push ups. When I first started doing them over a month ago (after watching you do it) I did 24 yesterday. Maybe thats pretty pathetic but when I started I could only do 3 so yeah me. Now to attemp to learn how to do a sit up. YesterdaY I tried that also (practicing for my fitness test) and I couldn't do a single one without cheating. I couldn't even get half way up. Talk about sad lol but there is only room for improvement.

    Hellloooo everyone!!!!

We are back After a whirlwind week and a half in Sydney visiting friends and family, we are back home. As lovely as it was to be with family and friends and to be celebrating and having fun, it's always so lovely to come home!

Well, I didn't do too badly for the last few weeks. I'm a little disappointed that I did put weight on, but it was just sssoooo hard to keep eating well. The exercise part was pretty easy, I was walking everywhere and carrying my kids half the day when we were out, lol! But the eating, well....it went by the wayside. By the end it was terrible! But now I am home and I will get back to it.

I was 89.8 the morning we left, I was so pleased to be under 90! But now I'm back up to 91. Though I'm not too disappointed, I was expecting more.

I am not even going to try to catch up with anything! I have missed way too much. I hope everyone is still on track and is going well. I have missed you guys
