Around, just waiting for next week. Birthday party today and I have eaten a tonne of cake batter and icing.

CSIRO is good. I rather like it. I find when I follow it I do lose weight. The 1MKC/ Weigh it Up, is rather similar, just not quite the same amound of protien, but does limit the amount of starchy carbs.

Cool thanks Astrid will have another look at it.

Last and final straw that means I HAVE to do something, my winter boots that have seen me through a few winters are TIGHT on my calves. :'( They are just wearable but uncomfortable and in the past I have worn them with jeans and today I have thin leggings on which just shows how much extra weight I am carrying. That's it, talk about huge kick up the a$$. (Fat a$$)

I am so depressed about my weight. Since getting married(last September) I have piled on the kilos I hate the way I look and am probably the biggest I have been). I have been good the last couple of days but I need to be consistent. I want to lose 20kg.

Tanstar- I know that feeling. Sometimes its the kick we need!

Sounds like a lot of us are struggling. Keep at it! Maybe we need to chat more often in here - hold each other accountable...

AFM: I have been steadily losing weight for over 3 months now. I have also been steadily getting fitter. This morning I shocked myself by going jogging with my mum and actually surviving jogging most of a 4km circuit around our suburb. Not only did I survive, but I felt good. I'm a lot fitter than I thought. If someone had told me 3 months ago that I'd be doing that I would have laughed at them and said "no way!"

I've also dropped down to a size 16 (can squeeze into some, not many, but some size 14's). I'm not sure what size I was wearing at my largest, as I stuck to stretchy trackies and baggy tops, but I'd say I was around a size 20+ three months ago. It feels awesome being able to walk into a shop and try things on without having to wander into the larger ladies section. Trouble is, now I'm going to be wanting to spend more money shopping for clothes!

None of this is meant to be bragging btw - I hope it's not coming across that way. I guess I'm just saying, it can be done! I had around 40kg to lose, and while I'm not there yet I am quickly approaching half way, and I feel amazing for it. It's been a lot of hard work, a lot of hours on my exercise bike and a lot of hours pounding the pavement, but the weight is going and I am not planning on ever seeing it again!

Sterla you are such an inspiration. Well done. I know you arent at your goal yet but the fact that your mind frame has changed you are well on your way. Mindframe is such a key to losing weight. I need to get there. I have known for the last 5 months that I needed to lose weight but was not even in the mindframe to start.
Keep up the amazing work girl! And woohoo on the jog

lol I'm usually a thread killer these days.

    I've got nothing as well.
I have been at the gym three times a week and walking D to school the other days, but eating wise I have no self control. It's not too bad during the day, I actually eat well then but it's at night after the kids are asleep. DH doesn't live here so it's my only couple of hours on my own and all I want to do is eat naughty stuff I keep thinking 'tomorrow'....too many tomorrows will have me with way more than 10kgs to lose.
I did notice when i was restricting calories last week my supply dropped quite a bit, so I need to working on quality and substance before quantity I think.

Sterla you are doing so well!

Cooooeeeee! There is an echo in here! Maybe I am a thread killer??

Well I will talk to myself for a second and all I am going to say is that I am sick of myself. Just no self control - not making good choices when we are out, lazy at night on weekends (Crust last night and no shift in weight even with exercise.

I am going to print off the CSIRO meal plan today and see if I can stick to something really strict with Dh who also needs to lose a few kgs. Our kids don't really eat salad though so might have to adapt and make things like rice and pasta to sit to the side of what they eat.

Hope everyone else is doing well!
    Hi tanstar how are you?

Where do you get the CSIRO meal plan from? Can you please PM it to me if it's on a website? Thanks xx

I'm finding it really hard to follow anything right now. There is so much crap food in the house! Today I'm doing a food shop so I'll have to get rid of the crap and make room for the healthy stuff.

How is everyone else going? I want to lose 10 to 15 kilos. It's just not budging.

I intended to do for a walk/jog this morning, or at least get on my exercise bike... but after a rough night with DD and cold frosty morning, I slept in instead. Oh well. I might try going for a walk this afternoon with the kidlets - that is if I can convince DS to go (he's not so keen to go in the pram these days). Have been good with my food so far today though. I got my first Hilbarn box today (fruit and veg box of locally grown produce), so I've been searching the net for recipes - all pretty healthy.

Going out for tea tonight with my mum's group - don't think I can make any promises about how good I'll be with what I order. Going out for tea is such a rarity that I won't mind spoiling myself just a little.

I got another lovely comment today about my weight loss - really makes my day and makes me want to keep going. Might try again tomorrow morning for that jog.

    Lysndan - PM'd you hun!

Well I have stuck to the plan I listed about - refrained from bikkies at school! SO proud. Came home hungry and just ate a carrot and a bit of hummus! Those shakes are foul though - anyone else used them, and do you have a favourite? I know they aren't great but I just want to kick start this loss so am going to do them for lunches for 2 weeks and then go back to healthy sandwiches etc. I ad the Biggest Loser ones today and it was gritty and gross!

I haven't sat down today - joys of PE and my feet finally dried off after walking the cross country course- I think I should wear a pedometer and see how I walk each day!

Sterla - that must be such a good motivator hun - can't wait to have that happen and have people take notice!! Hope you have a fun dinner out!

Kim - Nights are bad for me too - can you stock up on some healthy things that feel like treats, like WW choc chip cookies and Jarrah chocolattes - they feel naughty but are ok!!

That's awesome Sterla - I really should have gone out the door as soon as I got home but am about to run a bath, clean this house while I am kid free, make dinner for DH and I, do some school work before I pass out after watching The Block. Not sure what I would do without my mum, she has the kids 2 days a week, does the kinder running around, makes dinner for us all on a Monday normally and is just generally amaze balls.

I went jogging this morning... and survived! I jogged 3.72km (going by Runkeeper - awesome app for exercise if you've never heard of it). I am continually amazed at how fit I've actually become!

I'm half considering entering my local 10km fun run in June/July... not sure yet.

    Great work there Sterla

Not so great week here, had the birthday party and for some stupid reason we have been having spag bol. Probably cause the kids love it, but my body does not. I did do a kind of meal plan, but seem to have ignored it, think I will need to stick to the downloaded ones, even if I think DH won't eat some of the food.

Must get some more soup made up and frozen into portions, at least that way I know I will always have something for lunch that is good for me.

    You go Sterla!!
Oh and I need you to keep posting, whether you feel it's bragging or not, to push my backside into gear.

I've done pump for the first time in months this week, and added with today's step/chisel....I am hurting!!

ooh and I bought a magazine called the Healthy Food Guide today. It's great! I've never seen it before, but I will def be buying it again. It has heaps of snacks in the edition, which is just what I need right ATM.

That's awesome Sterla - I love Runkeeper! My gf has just started using Mapmywalk and likes it a lot too!

Astrid that is exactly what I need to do with soups - Im doing the shakes this week but they are gross and I think a healthy soup would be heaps better for me.

Kim - Pump rocks, love it! My gf and I were just saying last night that we are going to try and go together once a week!

I've done ok today again, but blew out a little tonight when friends came over, had a handful of chips, and about 4 squares of chocolate. Having said that I would normally eat 5-6 handfuls of chips and chocolate but I did refrain a bit. Still though - feeling blergh considering I have been doing ok. Back onto the wagon tomorrow. Big challenge is this weekend = we leave Friday for Bendigo and are going to Grooving the Moo - lots of alcohol and bad food, am going to try and refrain a bit but am aware that there will be calories eaten and drunk all weekend!!!

Hope you all have a great day tomorrow! xoxo

    Thanks everyone!

Busy day today, so no personals sorry...

Today was me my mid-month weigh in (I try and only officially weigh myself once a month, but decided to on DD's birthday). I'm down to 84kg - taking my loss up to 18kg! I haven't been this weight since... I don't know, 2006 probably.

Today is DD's birthday (), so there's cupcakes to tempt me, but so far I have resisted - I might allow myself one for dessert tonight. I doubt I'll get any exercise in today as I have been busy with DD's party, etc, so back to it tomorrow.

That is amazing Sterla!! You should be so proud of yourself! Hope DD had a great party and you were able to refrain!!! xoxo

Hope everyone else is doing well! I had Wicked Wednesday to deal with yesterday and did really well! NO chocolate cake, dim sim, chips, twisties etc at all! I ate my yoghurt and apple, plus a few carrot sticks with egg dip while everyone else gorged! At lunch a few teachers made soup so I had a small bowl of carrot and sweet potato soup and a chicken salad sandwich - so no shake but was pretty healthy all up!! No mid arvo snacking and then chicken noodle soup for dinner! Feeling pretty good actually, have realised how much I eat even when I am not even hungry because I am finding that Im not hungry until around 3-4 and that is when I will have some carrot or fruit instead of saladas. Weekend will be tricky but still determined to go easy and not blow out completely (optimistic much!) It's going to be 16 with a low of 3 (festival goes from 12- midnight!) so I think I will be drinking coffee not alcohol just to stay warm

Ok have a great one all - probably won't be around again until Sunday night!! xoxo
