Hi ladies. How is everyones weekend going?

Katones - Thats a good idea to put down your goals in writing like that. Your 900g loss this week is great

Krys - Bugger, hope it was just cause of AF and you get a better result on Monday.

JBM - well done for sticking with it. You are doing really well!!

Kaz - Hope the scales weren't too nasty to you. Hope you enjoyed your holiday, good to see you back.

Leesa - Thanks for your tips hun

T4M - How are you enjoying your walks? Glad to see you back, hope your hip/back is feeling a bit better.

AFM - I have had a really helthy weekend so far. This is the time where I tend to let myself go a bit but I put my foot down this weekend. I have exercised both days and haven't eaten anything naughty.

Tonight I am going to an outdoor movie with a few friends. You can take your own food and drink if you like so I have just made mine up. I am going to swap lunch and dinner over today as I have left overs from last night I am going to have them for lunch, then for dinner I have just packed a ham, mustard and salad sandwhich, a container with some rockmelon and pineapple and a bottle of water!! I might put in some rice crackers in case I feel the need for a snack to keep me away from the popcorn. I am feeling very proud of myself. Now I have to tell myself all night "I must be strong and stay away from popcorn" lol

KT - good plan! You could also do air-popped popcorn with no butter and just a pinch of salt and take that with you if you really really want popcorn.

Krys - I hope it was just a blip and that the scales work in your favour tomorrow.

Kaz - Have you weighed in yet?

JBM - the 2hr walk sounds great

Katones - yay on the 900g loss!

AFM - I did the Melbourne Summer Cycle this morning which was 40km and over the Westgate Bridge. I will weigh in tomorrow.

Yay! 1.2kg down this week so 6.8kg in total so far.

Tellytubby - Another fantastic loss. You'r going to have to change your username soon to "Telly not so tubby" haha, I crack myself up

Leesa - Welcome back after your break. And I'll just say it again - you are awesome!

T4M - Welcome back. It must feel good to be able to get back into it. I get so frustrated with injuries.

Kaz - Good luck for your weigh in

JBM - Wow, that's an awesome walk. Keep it up

Krysalyss - Hoping that the scales are looking better for you today. I weigh myself a couple of times a week and find that different clothing and eating a big meal can easily add a couple of kilos. So I only record my morning weigh ins in my pyjamas after I've been to the toilet

Katones - Well done on another loss! Your goals are very realistic. I am walking every night as well, but I think I need to be amping it up soon.

Ktgirl - Hope you enjoyed the movies. Way to go on taking your own healthy food!

Nai - 40km sounds like a long way, how long does it take? Good luck for your weigh in

This week the scales said I put on 600g. But the tape measure said I lost 1.5cm around my tummy. So either the scales here are unreliable or I have put on muscle. Either way I will just keep doing what I am doing. Have a big party on the weekend and hoping to squeeze into a little dress that I have. It will only be the second time I have worn it so here's hoping it looks ok. Not used to little dresses.

    Thumbs up

funkeefrog:good job with weight loss, keep up the good work.
krysalyss: don't listen to your scales, muscle weighs more than fat, good on you for a cm loss. you need to say to yourself, would you prefer to lose 5 kg on the scales and only 1 cm off your waist or 1 kg on the scales and 5 cm off your waist? keep up the good work.

    nai: good job
ktgirl: good job with the pre- packed food, the secret to good eating is being prepared and you've done it. what a champion

katones: good job, i love the : what your doing to lose weight, thing you've got. yeah walking each day is good. keep up the good work. you can do it.

afm: well i am not going to weigh myself this week as AF always makes me gain, and then i just get depressed.
i went for a 30 min walk this morn and meeting a friend for a 45 min walk after dinner tonight.

Katones - Just try and be good now until Saturday when you weight in, hopefully the maccas doesn't do too much harm. Can you do a bit more exercise tonight or something to help towards burning it off?

Tellytubby - Woohoo great loss hun, well done!! It shows that you are picking up on what is the best foods to eat if you have done that well without counting points!! But I am so very sorry to hear of your grandads passing

JBM - Grrr for AF. Well done on continuing the walking

Nai - Well done on the loss. Yay

Katones i'm sure you'll be fine. Just make sure youre good for the rest of week, go for an extra walk to help burn it off. No good stressing about it!
FWIW - i do the same thing! haha. I just can't resist sometimes. But like i said, if i counteract it for the other days, i'm always fine (and even still lose!).
    Good luck for saturday! x

Hi girls... I hope it's okay for me to join? I really need a good kick up the bum to starting losing weight and looking after myself!

A bit of background on me... I've always been a heavier girl, i love my food. I just can't stop myself from reaching for sweet foods! I decided to start losing weight in 2009 and lost 10kilos on the celebrity slim diet before I found out I was pregnant so it had to stop! I've given birth to a beautiful baby boy, who's now 8 months old and it's time to loose the baby weight. I am a stay at home mum so gyms are too pricey of an option and we only have one car that DH takes to work.

    I weigh 110 kilos now.
    My goal is 80.
I will continue on with the celebrity slim and now that the weather is nicer I will find time to walk *everyday*. No excuses! The walk I like only takes 20 minutes.

Thanks for reading I look forward to all the inspiration from you girls! xx

i have desiced to get back on track agasin after letting myself go grr but this time instead id tracking the kilos i am tracking the cm because that is more important i mean you can be 80cm around the waist and weight 100kg now 100 kg would be overweight but 80cm is very healthy for a male the measure of 80cm is around the waist over the belly button.

it is not the weight that kills it is the fat around the middle that kills and that causes problems

i have lost 2.5cm already since starting and that is great

hoping to get this thread going again and to encourage/support people on their weight ls journey

    Congrats on losing 3kg Shell!

I'm exactly the same as you, I lost all the "baby weight" within a few days of my son being born and then gained it all back in the next coming months!

Keep up all the walking & eating well... We can do it!
